After using this for a few weeks of school I can safely say we are happy with it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the long tray isn't quite big enough to fit a sandwich. Other than that very minor issue this is a nice solution for a kids lunch box. It keeps all of his food separate even when flipped on it's side. Cleaning has been simple, it goes into the top rack of the dishwasher when we don't do a quick hand wash. It did come with utensils, but we have yet to use them. This also fits inside our childs lunchbox cooler thing we got from Costco which was one of the main reasons we bought it. The only possible thing that could be an issue for some is the childs inability to close the lid and lock it. This hasn't been an issue for our 7 y/o.

I decided to buy this bento box for my boy’s lunch in kindergarten. I tried it at home and it is leak proof, it is very sturdy and cute. The only problem is the closing system. I tried to close it several times and sometimes closes very fast sometimes I had problems with it. But I decided to give it a try, so the first week of school my son came home twice with an opened lunch box. I always wash it by hand never put it in the dishwasher. So decided to return it. It is a pity because it is a very nice lunch box and I love the fact it is not slippery on the outside.

My son likes his lunch box. We have 2 that we alternate. He’s in middle school and the portion size is perfect for him. We haven’t had any leaks or food getting from one compartment into another. My only complaint is that it’s hard to open and close sometimes. I could see it being a problem for a younger kid. We wash the white tray in the dishwasher on the top rack and I hand wash the outside.

A little disappointed. I should have read the descriptions better. I only watched the video and failed to recognize that there are two separate types of boxes( 4 and 3 compartments). I thought ours was coming with 4 but turns out I ordered the wrong one with just 3. My mistake, but the video is very misleading.

This lunch box lasted about two months for my first grader. The good: the color, size, and leak proof features are great. The bad: the box was always hard to close/latch and my boy had a really hard time opening it at school. The lip where the buckle snaps/latches is what broke on one side so we decided to just try a different box.

This lunch box would have gotten a five star rating from me if it hadn’t been for the fact that it is sometimes difficult to close. The tray does not sit smoothly in the box so there had to be some shifting around to close the lid. This of course does not work for my 4 year old so he would often come home with it open and leaking his leftovers.

This is very heavy. It's only leak proof if your kid can get it sealed and shut properly (mine did not and we had a huge mess in his backpack) we've used it for 2 months now and it does not close all the way. So not leak proof anymore. Does keep things from squishing, which is nice and why we still use it.

Overall I like this product, but it suctions too tightly and it’s really hard to open! My 6 year old cannot open it or latch it back closed, so I’m using it for myself at work, but I also have a hard time with it. It does hold a decent amount of food and has been leak proof so far.
