This blade is almost too nice to use; it is a good useful length with clean, simple lines and outstanding construction.I purchased this for my wife, who is an aficianado of good knives; she was delighted. Not her nicest knife, but the nicest one she'll use daily.The grip scales align precisely with the sheath, not finished to precise lines and a high finish. The sheath fits snugly, and has a tight friction fit. The simple lines, with exposed full range, and a treat, and the blade is sharp and ground to a useful edge geometry. It might be a *bit* fine for some tasks, but that's not a major issue.I was so envious, I bought a second one for my use.A word of caution; with no hilt, you need to be mindful how you use it.Beautiful, simple, well-made, functional.

Ship time took a while, came from Korea. But the quality was worth the wait. I'm afraid to use it it for fear of damaging its beauty. life fits securely in to sheath. Very sharp on arrival. Will ad my own final sharpening as I do with all my knives.

This is a very solid and sharp knife, I am very happy with it. The sheath however is pretty cheap and as some indicated on here, inherently dangerous. It wouldnt be dangerous if the knife wasn't so AWESOME though! This knife is going in a backpack for camping so I simply looped some electrical tape around the sheath nice and tight and it's good to go.

Seems pretty sturdy. I havnt cut anything with this yet, nor do I really plan on it. Looks pretty, and for the price you cant really go wrong. Overall, it's not a very sharp knife. You'll want to do extra work to it to get it razor sharp.

I love this knife. Not the best option for an all day carry blade but man is it slick. I’ve always admired the samurai swords in the same style with the wood sheath...With blade inside it’s “sheath” the whole thing just looks like a blk of wood.....very well made.

U all keep try to put the knife in the scaberd wrong way an u break it. Thats on you. If its tight swap it the other way. Dont force it. Well made though. D2 steel.

I rarely write reviews here, but this product is extremely well made and the fit and finish are outstanding, the wood scales and sheath are well fitted and SOLID.As a bonus it is VERY WELL BALANCED, about a fingers width down from the front edge of the bolster. Sharp as shiznit, as well!

There is a lot to this knife. In weight, in feel and in design it feels exactly like what it is... a tanto. The weapon is proud to be and makes no pretensions, no curves, no elaborations, just an unadorned, simple design. The weapon is sturdy and like a martial arts master once said, "with the virtues of simplicity come sincerity and strength of purpose." This is a combat knife, and in Japanese blade work subtlety is part of design. We do not see the specialized sword designs that we see in Indian weapons for example. This is not an expensive weapon but is well made...So why is the scabbard so horrendous? It is dangerous, ill fitted to the weapon, weak, and not designed to hold a penknife much less a tanto. There should be a better fit and a metal collar at least to control splintering, and this scabbard will splinter and could allow your hand to be cut badly.All I can say is, charge me 50 bucks and present the weapon in a decent transport accessory! Ridiculous.
