Adapter was super easy to set up. Instructions were not needed! Using in my 2021 Mazda cx-5 grand touring. Car is set up with wired car play. I deleted my phone from the car bluetooth. (Important to do this before plugging in adapter and setting up). Then plugged the adapter in. The usb port for wired car play is in my center console, so I attached the adapter with the double sided tape piece provided on the inside of my center console. Can’t even see the adapter where i set it up. Wire is short and is not in the way. I used the usb-a port wire (included), my car does not have the usb-c port (which that wire is also included). Connected to my phones Bluetooth, accepted CarPlay and set to always connect. Within seconds I have wireless car play. Everytime I turn my car on, it automatically connects within seconds. I’ve had no issues with sound quality of music or calls. No issues with connection. No delays or lag at all. Feels just about the same time frame as my wired CarPlay, but without the wires all over!! I’m super happy with this purchase. Phone battery is now saved due to not having to plug my phone in for CarPlay. On long trips I will have to charge my phone, but I have a different set up for that! If you have been looking for an adapter, this is the one!! I did a lot of research, many YouTube video reviews and days of Amazon searching. You can’t beat the price either! Will update if any issues.

This is probably the third adapter I’ve tried. It does take a few seconds to pop up once you start your car, but maybe just a few seconds longer than it normally takes CarPlay anyways. And maybe the is an audio lag? It’s not enough for me to notice. I guess it’s most noticeable when you change the track but even then it’s certainly not enough to bother me. I’ve also used it for phone calls already and didn’t notice anything unusual. Works just as good as a wired connection if not a little better because my cord would be finicky. We will see if it stays working this well. I hope so.
