Mara Stoneware Collection - 16 Ounce Ceramic Coffee/Tea Cup Collectible Dinner Mugs - Mexican Pottery Horse Design

I got the first 2 at a local thrift store for about $3 each. I didn't know about Mara pottery, realized the coyote mugs were handmade and compelling. Probably someone got them as a gift and didn't realize their value.So, why did I buy another 3 for about $75 total? I am known for frugality. They are so sturdy. You can put them in the microwave to warm up your milk for 2 minutes before adding the coffee and the handle does not get hot, nor do your lips burn while sipping. I kept washing the same 2 and my housemates also wanted to use them. You can put them in the dishwasher, always looking good. So now we have a set--two coyotes, mustangs, humming bird, and raven because that's up where we live. No Pier 1 for us with prettier but mouth burning, too hot to hold mugs. And these are big. Enjoy a grande with your newspaper or Elvis Cole/Joe Pike novel 😀

Very sturdy pottery, a bit heavy (not a complaint). Really stunning and would make a lovely gift, especially for someone who loves horses. Made in Mexico and feels like an authentic Mexican style piece. Definitely recommend!

Mug is a solid, sturdy piece of art. Gift for mom. Hopefully she likes it. It’s heavier than I thought it would be, which is a good thing. Should be hard to break.

My wife and I love these mugs. They are great looking, with an warm hand-crafted appearance; and they're hefty and feel good to hold. Their only fault is that they can be surprisingly fragile, considering their heft. We'll definitely be buying more.

I needed green and the mug is Blue not green - It takes too much to return so I kept them and they are beautiful.

the mug is very heavy and very artsy, but it was shipped in a thin box and padded envelope. The box looked fine, but the handle was cracked off the mug. others have complained about the same thing, but there has been no improvement in shipping. what a shame.
