GEN-Y GH-404 MEGA-Duty Adjustable 5" Offset Drop Hitch Only for 2" Receiver - 10,000 LB Towing Capacity - 1,500 LB Tongue Weight

There are several products like this out on amazon, but they offer dumb low weight ratings. I bought this so I could carry a 1up Bike rack (that weighs 40lbls alone) with 2 modern full suspension bikes AND tow a small trailer. This is the only product that met the weight ratings and beyond. If you want to carry a rack or storage rack AND tow a trailer this is what you need. Yes it's expensive, it is totally worth it. After looking at the welded knockoffs on Amazon I went this path. Now the only ding on this is its 2". If you are wanting to use with a 2.5" hitch like on a Super Duty truck, you will need an anti rattle part with the standard 2.5 inch adapter sleeve. (Reese makes a good one). I found with the 1Up rack that if i put in the top receiver I can still drop my tail gate and not hit the rack. Its totally awesome. OK, you may be asking yourself, why not get the 2.5" version that will have less slop in it...well good question. Its b/c the 2.5" shanke version of this same hitch is 400+ bucks. So that is why I went this direction. If you get this version with the above anti rattle plate, you will have ZERO movement on your hitch and trailer. Carry on and happy towing with your bikes and trailer.

Great product. Very heavy duty. I went with this option because I have a sway bar and this allowed me to use my existing hitch with the sway bar attachment. I emailed the GEN-Y prior to purchasing and they emailed me back within 24 hours answering my question. The company seems like they have great customer service. A couple of things that are obvious but slipped my mind is that this adds extra length between your vehicle and the tow vehicle. Once I added this hitch my chains no longer were able to reach. This is not an issue with the hitch it is more of an FYI to save someone time. This is an expensive hitch...you will want a hitch lock. I purchased a Bolt Ford keyed lock and this hitch lock covers my safety chain hook up. If you have a 2017 Ford Expedition it is hard to find any lock that won't cover the hook up! As for the drop hitch it has been perfect and planning on adding a bike rack to go in the top slot at a future date!

I needed a drop down receiver to flat tow my jeep behind my Motorhome and to level out the hitch and receiver and I needed a 5 inch drop. This did the job well and I am level as it now should be.The product is heavy well built heavy duty and I expect it will out last the need. The receiver has a extra above the 5 inch drop that works for a bicycle rack, but recommend that you first check the hitch weight the tongue can take that it does not exceed the manufactures recommended weight.I would certainly recommend the product I have been flat towing the jeep for a while now without any issues.

The BEST hitch I've ever owned... 2" Hitch shaft is one solid piece of metal, you know this thing will tow anything you hook to it! I use it primarily to tow a travel trailer and be able to use hitch accessory (see picture) for hauling kayaks or bikes. This investment ('cause it's pricey) is a once a lifetime purchase... I will probably put this in my will to one of my kids it will last that long! Use a locking pin... someone else will want this too!

I bought this to hook up a tow vehicle and have another receiver hitch for our bike rack. This was perfect for our application and provided some flexibility so I could give a bit of space between the two. Not cheap - but not cheaply made either.

I didn't even open the box that it came in and I was immediately impressed with how heavy it was! This hitch is SOLID. I'm using this on our Class A motor home so that we can use a bike carrier and tow bar at the same time. This is one component in our rig that I won't worry about at all while we're on the road. Be advised that you'll need to get a longer receiver lock with a 3-3.5" span will work great.

Product feels solid throughout. The description states for the "GH-404" that it is 16,000 lbs capacity. Upon receiving the hitch the tag states it has a 10,000 lbs capacity. Reason for 5 stars is because it's an amazing hitch - fast shipping - and all I will ever need.
