ProMediaGear PLCR L-Bracket/L-Plate for Canon EOS-R Body

I had a l-bracket that didn’t allow full articulation of the EOS-R screen, and decided to give ProMedia a try. Ordered and it arrived just in time for a three day photo weekend.However, I was saddened and baffled when I attached it to the camera. In the portrait orientation it snapped in perfectly to the ball head, but in landscape it refused to seat. It bothered me for a while but after looking at the ball head platform I could see little indentations that looked like screws.Under the l-bracket there a two small raised hex screws. Because the are raised and so close together, they were preventing proper seating in landscape orientation. I used the provided Allen key and removed one and it clicked in right away. Maybe if flat screws were used instead of rounded, this could be prevented. I decided I would leave it out and replace it with a flat one later and went on my trip.This puppy is super awesome. It fits like a glove and allows for all normal usage of the EOS-R. Reaching the focusing ring and buttons for removing the lens was not a problem and I love how the portrait side helps as a handle. It is rugged and sturdy and I am confident in it. It has been tried and tested for these three days, and is now a permanent fixture on my EOS-R, even without the 2nd screw.I love it, and still give it 5stars even though the raised screws were an issue.Good product!

Far and away the most solid l-bracket I have owned and perfect for the EOS-R. I love that it gives the room I need to fully-articulate the flippy screen. It’s anchored in a way that it will rarely come loose and padded so it does not mar the surface of the camera body.Is it worth the unholy price? Maybe.

I usually by my L-brackets from another manufacturer. I checked out their model before seeing this one from Pro Media and decided to purchase it instead. The design is different as the side piece on the left is offset to allow the articulated screen of the Canon EOS R to swing open freely and spin around. It also works as a secondary grip on the camera. I am quite pleased so far with my purchase! It attaches easily to my RRS tripod and head, too.

Goes on canon R. cables clear the bracket- al good. Get one.
