Works well as a light mount.
As a staunch believer in self-defense, when I saw this mounting device, I realized that it would be great for mounting a light on my Remington 870. And it works quite well. I would not want to actually have to use this weapon on another human being, but if he is going to invade my home with the intention of harming me or my wife, he will be met with a load of 9 buckshot at about 1300 fps.. Fortunately, now with this light mount I will be able to see the intruder who I am trying to convince to go elsewhere, either out of my home, or into the terrors of perdition.

*UPDATE*
mounted on a Mossberg 12ga, never fired the gun with the mount attached, it broke while sitting in the gun rack, evidently its not meant to be tightened. *UPDATE* Jan 30, 2019, I was contacted by windfire and a replacement mount was delivered to me. It appears that it will get the job done. Great customer service.
