The rug is awesome but be careful at first it will shed orange-red dye when it gets wet. We did not realize it and it stained the concrete. Best to thoroughly rinse before use.

I expected a blue background to the mermaid but it’s more green and not really what I wanted.

This is much more substantial than the pathetic petrochemical synthetic doormat that I recently purchased; HOWEVER, like that one and all but the rubber door mats, this mat's seller advises me to keep it out of direct sunlight and wet weather. So, am I supposed to keep it in a bank vault on rainy days? Why even have an outdoor mat if it can't withstand sunshine and bad weather (you know...the kind of weather that causes us to get mud on our shoes)? At least this mat has the "beach" theme that I was looking for. (I didn't buy a rubber mat because they are mostly black and drab.)
