I bought this to put outside of my apartment so it never sees the outdoor elements but just the foot traffic over the last year and vacuuming has turned the fabric into a fuzzy mess and it is falling apart. It is also not a traditional door mat. Its a rubber backed fabric made mat. Not durable but veryy cute!

Look, the description is pretty clear on what this is. Is it meant to have shoes rubbed on it to get mud off? No. Is it super sturdy and meant for a front door with lots of traffic? No. Is it cool as hell and perfect for LotR fans? YES! Be smart and use it as it’s intended. It’s a novelty item that’s meant to look cool and be a conversation starter. I have it indoors, outside my apartment front door. No mud, not high traffic. It’s holding up well and looks really neat.

It is very smooth and thin which means it doesn't do a fantastic job at actually wiping shoes. It has no texture and feels like a mousepad. However, I absolutely love the design and that is more important to me. If you are concerned about reducing mud tracked in than this is probably not the mat for you. If you just want a cute accessory for your door, than this is perfect!

Product looks like the picture and I like the novelty, but this is an indoor matt... (or a garage matt...) it is not rugged enough for the front door or outdoor (mud) use...

This mat is rubber with a thin cloth layer that the LOTR reference is printed on. It's perfectly fine, but the pictures almost made it look like one of the bristle mats you would have at your front door, so I was a little disappointed when I realized that wasn't it. It was a gift though, and my friend loved it.

I would recommend it, its thin though thats the only thing you can't tell from the picture. Pretty self explanatory. You get what you see.

I don't understand the negative reviews on this- specifically the ones saying it's so small. It's the size of a standard doormat! It fits perfectly in the center of the doorway and we've gotten such a kick out of it. It's about as thick as a mouse pad and the same material. But really... I don't see why that's an issue. It's a novelty item. We set a dollar store mat right in front of it for shoe crud and it sits on top of a thick ugly mat by the door. So far it's done well in the rain and step prints on it dust right off too. We think it's great!

Only put a 2 star ratting because we are at least using it outside for now until we get another rug. The product is not at all how it is advertised. We tried to put it inside of our house but it didn't work so we put it right outside the front door so at least it doesn't slide around. We are definitely disappointed because paying over $30 for a product that really should be $15 is never fun. Our advice get something that's better quality.
