12-inch Speaker is The Best Thing About This Amp
In the early '70s I owned a Kustom amp stack (1 head, 1 tall 2-speaker cab) with turquoise sparkle tuck-and-roll vinyl covering. I loved that amp but regrettably eventually sold it. I've owned multiple amps since then (Carvin, Behringer, Peavey, Acoustic, Line 6, to name a few), but I am partial to Kustom. I saw this KG112FX for only $99 at Amazon. I bought it and am happy with it. It's not perfect, but the price is right - so much so that when I saw it on Amazon again for only $79, I ordered another one for my high school classroom. Overall, both clean & distortion modes sound good to me. The built-in reverb & delay are fairly weak, but I don't care about that. I run my Line 6 Pocket Pod or ZOOM G3 through it & the sound is very good for an inexpensive amp due to the 12-inch speaker. No input/output jacks on the back, but the front has an aux-in & headphone jack. If you want a 12-inch speaker combo amp at a really low price, this is one of your very few choices.

Yes, Kustom is still great!
I really like the affordability of Kustom amps. I just wish I'd have gone for higher wattage. I pass my IPad Animoog through this amp, and the sound is impressive. Haven't lost a neighbor yet.

No unual Kustom Quality
This amp is for a 1st time beginner. The pictures on the web site give you the impression that it is a hot sounding amp. Well, its not, it squeaks, and squeals is assembled poorly with some glue smears on the outside of the amp when the seams come together.Sound-it does have a sound. No very good, I blame the two biggest items-1 cheapest speaker for performing Digital Effects. they make the speaker sound even worse. 2.Seems the days of old Kustom with the tuck and roll exteriors are gone...they were the standard of good solid rock music. This little one needs a home....just not mine

A very capable amp.
This amp has solid construction and a good sound on both channels.. It is very light and looks good..I mostly use the clean channeland use my effects pedals. All my pedals sound like they should.. ( two overdrives, distortion, reverb, fuzz. wah, rotovibe, compressor.) in case anyone is wondering. I also play clean half the time. This a bright amp and the tone contols also do the job. This amp is pretty loud for 20 watts and I have gigged with it in small clubs miked and unmiked.. Our band is not loud, just loud enough.. Its a good amp, but not perfect. To me the effects are very weak and I dont care for the sound at any setting. You cannot change channels with a footswitch..I am happy with my choice. I needed an inexpensive backup amp and this fits the bill just fine..

Great bang for buck ratio
Couple things on portable practice amps, 20 watts is plentiful for a room setting, this things weighs in good avg lite enough weight put anywhere anytime feel. Send return effect loop big difference...12" speaker knocks them 8" in the dirt. Great amp at 99$ free ship, there's cork sniffer stuff to complain on. Built in dirty channel isn't the greatest, built in effects are middle of the road... But, least it has some...for this build really can't moan. It's well built. Loud and got some muscle if you've got pedals and stuff to loop in all you'll really need is that 12" on clean channel anyway, lot easier to carry too. Key word is practice amp... To rate it as what it is I say it's hard to beat.
