CTG Focus Auto Automobile Swivel Tray, 9.5 inches, Grey

So in ordering this I read ALL the reviews. Of all items of its type this seemed to be the most effective in my price range. The tray is not without its faults. If you have a cup holder like the one pictured on the box you will probably have no problem, but if your cup holder is parallel to your car seats with 2 holders, one behind the other, it may be more difficult. The base of the unit is small, so it sits loosely in my cup holder, and it tilts forward as there is nothing behind it to keep it from tilting forward. Likewise if I put it the rear cup holder it will tilt because there's nothing in front of it. The best way to remedy this (as suggested in some other reviews) is to cover the base in beer can coozies! I used 2 that I had acquired as giveaways at various events. Now it fits snugly in my cup holder! I also decided it needed a little weight in the base (which is very light as manufactured) so I added a spare part I found on my workbench in the garage (honesty, I have NO IDEA what it is, but it fit perfectly). A bag of sand or the like would provide similar counterbalance. Put the weight in the base BEFORE putting on your beer coozies and it should sit securely in your cup holder. For the cost, I don't mind doing a little extra work myself, but the manufacturer should consider these design flaws to improve should they ever come out with a version 2.0 of the product.

Right out of the box, it didn't fit the cup holders in my husband's work truck. After a lot of fiddling around, we managed to get it to sit somewhat still, but after a time, it stopped working. He finally fixed it by filling the bottom of a to-go cup from a convenience store with plaster, and got it to stay that way. That, however, wasn't all. The "pipe" had to be shortened twice because it was just too top heavy - even with nothing on it. He also replaced one of the joints with a PVC equivalent because it wasn't sturdy enough. After all of this, it lasted about a year. Then, during a severe cold snap, he bumped it with his arm, and the pipe shattered. While he liked it for keeping his phone, MP3 player, pen, note pad, etc, all at his fingertips while he did his run daily, I will not be buying another one. It's just too much hassle.

i recently bought this for my 08 fj crusier and what i personally didnt like was that it didnt fit the cup holder perfectly i had to put some rubber for it to fit, and second was that in the picture it show a big soda i put a 16oz bottle and it almost felt, but in overall for fries, burger or some chicken nuggets this works great, now my girlfriend dont have to feed me and feed herself because she always got burned with the food because im less sensitive than her with heat so i give it 4 stars because of the fitting problem but it works well for having breakfast on the road or just some lunch

I was so excited, so I ordered 8 more as gift ideas. Driving home today, it wiggled back & forth. Then joint broke. Got home, used glue gun to make it permanent. Of course, another review says, too small to fit into the cupholder. I wrapped it with black utensil liner with rubber band holding it around. Looks tacky, so I wrapped it again with stretched knit gloves. I must admit, it does look nice in the car so I just have to make it work. A little disappointed, yes, so I cancelled 3 of the 8 orders I put earlier. Nevertheless, if it is a gift, it will be appreciated. Until then, it is not a piece of junk like most of cheap ones out there. It is very unique! 2-stars!

I like the strength and stability. However, it would be better if the bar was made of metal. Additionally, the base fits in any cup holder but is not adjustable so it fits LOOSELY. If the base was designed to be adjustable to expand or contact so it would fit properly into the holder, that would be preferred.

Hate reading all the negative reviews over this awesome device. It’s not made for heavy stuff.I drive 2000 Cavalier. Fits perfect. Bought 1st one in 2000. Still sits in my cavalier perfectly.1. Love design2. Perfect to lay small things on it.3. Excellent when I’m at drive through, to have my money and change ready, or credit cards, for faster transaction.3. Perfect to leave garage door opener and gate access cards on it for speedy action.4. Perfect to leave coupons and change on it. Has a nice lip.However my 📱iPhone is a bit to heavy to leave on it. Causes it to tip over while driving.Love it.Used 18 years so far. Bought more for gifts, as people always asks me about it.

I'm using it but had to modify it. I had to wrap Duct tape around it to fit in my cup holders. It empties it self if you take off too fast and comes apart. I would never trust a beverage on it, even if it didn't come apart. I'll keep using it till I find something better. If you buy it get Duct tape too....you'll need it! Your Welcome.

I think the idea of a food tray for a driver is really great, it's just that the promise of it fitting into the cup holder didn't hold true in my case, it was loose. I wish the manufacturer will add something to take care of this problem. p.s., tray is for food only, it wise to put your drink on the other cup-holder slot.

my front cup holders are too big but that’s my cars fault i’m missing a piece. but my back seat cup holders fit it perfectly! it’s rubber along the outside so it grips the cup holder. the inside is also hollow so if you wanted to you could make it heavier to help it not tilt if you would put a lot of items on it. wouldn’t recommend driving with a drink on the tray

It works but not that sturdy so one has to be careful. Can not hold that much wait. Using in our motorhome, so does serve a purpose allowing better access to some items by using the tray.

Great idea, not wide enough to fit into my cup holders so it doesn't sit well

The "cup" part of this is too small for the cup holder so it doesn't stay up. Even if you stick something in next to it, it's not very stable. It's not adjustable as it must be unscrewed each time for adjusting, making it even more inconvenient. Nice idea, poor design.

We have a Dodge grand Caravan and the rubberized cylinder that anchors the tray in the cup holder is not tight enough. I decided to keep it and found something to stuff in the cupholder to tighten it up.Shipping was fine.
