Dinosaur Dictionary for Kids: The Everything Guide for Kids Who Love Dinosaurs

I bought this book for myself and my youngest grandson. It's very detailed but easy to read.It has divided the Mesozoic Era into the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods --with each dinosaur of that period in alphabetical order.It also has a section on "Other Animals of the Mesozoic Era" which includes Marine life, Flying reptiles, Mammals, Insects and spiders, Reptiles, and Early birds.The Index of Species in the back of the book makes it easy to locate specific dinosaurs, which is extremely helpful when dealing with young children.

Age range was from 3-6. My 4 year old has several Dino identifying books and he can identify an amazing number of dinosaurs. This is above his level. Way too much small print.

I bought this for my 5-year old who can't read yet and the first few pages of this book are just words. My kid wants to see pictures, they have those too but it's almost too many dinosaurs and too much information. My son's attention span is not that great so after about 20 dinosaurs that we've never heard of, we stopped reading for the day. I would say this is for kids 10 and up but I'm not sure how popular dinosaurs are anymore with 90% of kids at that age.

Book will be great for my son. He loves dinosaurs so he will be so excited to know of all the many more dinos out there that he doesn’t already know of.

My 4 yo son is very into dinosaurs and likes looking up information and comparing traits between dinosaurs. This book has been a great addition to our collection. However, there have been a few dinosaurs we have tried to look up in this book that have not been listed.

My 9 year old is a lifelong dinosaur expert and fell in love with this book. It doesn't include every single dinosaur ever discovered of course, but it is full of great information and illustrations.

My son loves it.

The back cover and last page was folded over and damaged. Very disappointed about the damage because it is such a great book.
