Farberware Nonslip Plastic Cutting Board, 11-Inch-by-14-Inch, Red

I do NOT like how it shows the scratch / cut lines after use. I have only used it once to slice an orange and it left behind ALL of the scratch marks. When I opened it, I thought it was awesome, but now I wouldn't really recommend to others, but it does serve it's purpose. Just won't look so great after multiple uses.

Well now I know why this was priced as it was. It's thin to the point of being a little flimsy, and the "grip" stuff isn't very grippy. I have some other cutting boards that are quite a bit thicker and the grippy stuff is quite grippy, so this thing isn't very impressive. But it's cheap! And it's red! So it stands out. This is important only because our kids want a dedicated "fruit cutting board" that will never, ever be used for onions or garlic, because those tastes persist, even after going through the dishwasher. Now we all know not to use this bright red board for anything but fruit.

Not sure how anyone could give a legitimate 5 star review for this product. It's clearly listed as Nonslip, but the second you get it out of the packaging and slap it down on your countertop you will realize that it's not. I could care less about the quality of the cutting surface if the "Nonslip" cutting board slides halfway across the counter the second you make a knife cut on it.

Maybe I was naive to expect a plastic cutting board not to scratch, but I used it two times - two knive cuts - and there were immediately two large, highly visable white scratches on it. It kind of startled me. I love the shape, color, and general "feel" of it, but fear it would look old and battered within just a few weeks.

The non-slip claim is not really accurate. It does slip, and those rubber border surfaces do not do their job as intended or as advertised. It also is smaller than advertised because you have to take into consideration the borders and handle. Overall, for the price I paid, I am not surprised this was the case, but I need to go buy a real NON slip one now.

I was really unsure about ordering this because I was afraid it might be too slippery to cut and slice and dice on effectively. It turns out the surface of this board is textured just enough to keep the food in place while working on it. The rubber supports also keep the board from sliding around on my granite countertop. I've put it through the dishwasher at least 2 dozen times and it comes out in great shape.

I returned this and found a cutting board the right color at a brick and mortar store nearby. The color was not a clear red, or cherry red, but more maroon--with a slightly faded look. I really wanted a cherry red to match a few other kitchen items, including my toaster. Photoshop again! I know it is possible to show accurate photos, because I have purchased other items from Amazon and elsewhere online with very accurate colors. Please ask vendors to truthfully show the colors of the items.

It’s awful. The rubber grips don’t grip and it slides all over my counter. I stopped using it after a week because I was afraid of having an accident with a knife.

En la foto se ve muy bonito (rojo intenso), pero en realidad es un rojo descolorido. Además no es antideslizante, lo cual es peligroso al momento de cortar. Lo compré para regalar a una hermana, pero me dio pena. En resumen, no lo recomiendo.

De buena calidad, antiderrapante, lindo color rojo tal y como se muestra en la foto.
