🚂 4-stars for Gina
Gina is a lesser known engine from Thomas the Tank Engine. She is from the "Thomas & Friends: Digs & Discoveries" series. We haven't seen that so don't feel the instant affinity as some might towards this toy. Maybe if we knew the engine a bit more, and what her cargo was and how it is used in the series, we would have given the toy a 5-star rating. Other reasons we didn't give it a 5-star rating include the toy requiring 2*AAA batteries which are not included (so extra purchase required before you can use the toy), and maybe it would have been good having a reverse setting for Gina instead of the switch just having on (to go forwards) and off settings. The toy seems well made though, and goes around the TrackMaster track. The Gina engine is nice looking. Batteries fit in underneath it with the base being removed with the removal of a screw. Gina has two carriages behind, one of which has a spinning drill on it. However, I'm not sure how to use the drill properly as it seems to be drilling into the back of Gina which is surely wrong? The drill piece can be removed and placed in the yellow carriage to carry too. The carriages can be de-coupled and re-coupled as well.Lastly, I have to mention the Gina likeness. Looking at pictures of Gina from the TV series I think her chimney should be taller, as should her cab, but as mentioned before we haven't seen the series so my kids are none-the-wiser on that. But her face looks good enough.Overall, 4-stars for Gina.

Loving Gina’s smiley face 😀
We are building a collection of the battery powered thomas and friends track master engines - we are using them without the track so wondered if we had the track if they would be more interesting as they are getting a bit boring now.We had the chance to give Gina a go with a price tag of £19.97 I would say this is just so expensive for what you get and the quality is rather cheap looking as they are made of plastic. You also need to get batteries for it which is annoying as this is another cost.Gina is the best looking one we have had so far with her smiley face and one of my sons favourite one.
