A bit shorter than i was expecting, especially tides and navigation, but the included chart and questions are very useful to practice.

I recently did the RYA (shorebased) coastal skipper/yachmaster offshore course in a distance learning format. The course material I had was excellent, but this exercise book, together with the text book, were a great help in testing whether I had properly understood all elements of the RYA syllabus. It certainly contributed to passing my exam. Highly recommended, certainly if you take a distance learning course.

Many questions refer to "The Chart" - but did not come with a chart!Therefore of very limited use

Very handy for practicing before the exam's. Questions vary from fairly simple to pretty tricky. The included chart is good, it is nice to practice on a real chart and add's to your knowledge of the Channel Islands.

Great tool to prep 4 day skipper, not planning yachtmaster for some time!

Excellent book - worth every penny. Examples clearly written and really help when studying for the RYA yachtmaster
