Fun and tasty time killers
These are infamous little food kits from Japan that taste like candy. Only these have been translated into English for your convenience. All 3 of these are very tasty and fairly easy and quick to make, with the donut one taking the longest. The donuts have a nice Jell-O Pudding bite texture and flavor (without icing). The sushi tastes like a kind of artificial grape juice/soda without the fizz. It was decent. Finally the tanoshii cakes were the easiest and most aesthetically pleasing. The mini waffle cones were shockingly completely undamaged despite their size.Is it for children? It's a lot of steps, so if your child is able to sit still and read/follow along with the instructions then I'd say it's a cool and fun little experience for the kids.

Great rainy day activity
My 6 and 8 yr old were challenged and excited to do these kits. The sushi one was the most fun to me with the little science lesson of how to make the faux roe XDOnly bad things: not as tasty as I was hoping, & the enormous amount of plastic waste. I'll look for alternatives but it was a fun experience. :)

Fun play-with-your-food
These are great little kits. They have a good set of instructions, all the tools and components you need and actually have an end result that looks like the packaging. The flavors are great on some, and somewhat bland on others. Overall they fun and tasty enough to buy again.

Awesome fun with kids.
Love these kits. Did the sushi one with my three and a half year old and she was able to do it nearly all by herself with me just reading instructions. Kit comes with powder packets and a compartmentalized molding tray for each packet. (The molding tray adds shape and texture to each component for better realism). Taste was so so, but not really the point, and my daughter certainly didn't mind it. Took us about 20 minutes to make, so a fun little afternoon activity moreso than a candy treat. Surprised there are only 18 grams of sugar in the whole kit too!

I Loved These!!
Super fun candy kits! The cake was the first one I tried. They were definitely the cutest looking even if they didn't taste that great— I really enjoyed icing the icecream. Next, I tried the donuts. They turned out adorable, looking just like the package, even. The flavor was yummy and actually did taste like a donut, but the texture was very gummy, but overall not bad! Lastly, I tried the sushi kit. It was really fun to make tasted great too! This set is a bit expensive, but honestly worth it for me, I had a great time with it.

If your kids like these, then this pack is a deal
These are in fact real popin cookin kits, as far as I can tell. So this is a deal, compared to buying them at the gourmet treat shop or asian food market. They are also normal sized ... I had thought they were mini kits given the price. In terms of these specifically, the sushi is the easiest one to pull off, but also doesn't look super cool. If you don't take some care, it just looks kinda blobby like play doh.The ice cream is more complicated but those details make it more fun -- this one seems like it might be especially cool for a kids gathering or if you are doing them with a group and can grab a few.Donuts hit the sweet spot in the middle where even a 5-6 year old can pull this off mostly solo without too much parental oversight in order to still have them look cool. The shapes are more basic and composing them doesn't require too much dexterity. And like all popin stuff, they are all tasty to me, but also over the top sweet at times.I only wish Amazon had more three packs with different combos, as the only other options seem to be regularly priced single kits, and a giant kit that will require me to do one every day until they are done. Would be cool if we could get a three pack once a month ...

Disgusting!!!…but fun
If your kids don’t really care if they’re eating them, then these are great. They are cheap, they are a fun idea, but oh my, they are gross.
