U.S. Art Supply provided a kid-safe professional beginner-style set-up for my daughter, who loves painting. She loved the fun and vibrant oil paints offered and could not wait to create on the provided canvas. I am grateful for the included wooden palette; there is no stress of her making a mess. Great buy for the buck!

A great value set for a beginner fun activity. The color is beautiful except the red paint is more orange and it was difficult to get a decent purple color by mixing blue and red. I got brown and my brush was clean... Wish the red was a bit more true red and has a small tube of solvent included in the package. Then I would definitely enjoy this product more even if the price was higher.If you would like to use purple / violet color, I would suggest to purchase another small tube of true red paint or purple separately. You may also want more white paint and a small bottle of solvent (like Gamsol), your first oil painting experience would be better.Overall, it is definitely worth the money if you only want to try oil painting for once/twice. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. The brushes aren't soft and won't last long.

I ordered this as a gift for an adult, somewhat as a gag gift (he falls asleep through Bob Ross shows on TV, so I thought this kit could give him something to do to keep him awake!), but he ended up being excited about trying it. Unfortunately, much like other reviewers, the easel was broken so I needed to replace it. The quality of the kit overall isn't high, but neither is the price. In future, if my recipient stays awake for Bob Ross and really does like painting, I'll purchase an upgrade!

This package has lots to offer for under $10. I appreciate the simple design on the stand and will likely use it to build my own from sturdier wood from the molding department at a hardware store. Perfect for a beginner artist or kids gift.

This is great for the price. The easel came broken I just taped it back together. And the paint brushes sucked. The large brush was obviously used before. It was stiff with chunks of white dried in paint. The canvas is in good quality and the paint was very easy to open and use. Since I am a beginner and I really wanted to cheaply test out if I would enjoy it this was perfect. But remember that you get what you pay for :)

It was bought as a gift for my son's (Secret Santa) party at school. The girl that got it was very happy with it.

My kit came today. It comes with a lot for the cheap price and is good quality. The wood on the easel did crack a bit when I was tightening the bolts but it won’t harm anything. Love it!**updatePlease be very careful with the paint. It is super sticky and hardly washes off brushes and palette. My hands are stained from just cleaning the brushes. Not for younger kids
