Used to Make Turkey Flute Game Call
I make turkey calls. I use these on turkey “yelper” or “flute” style calls that’s are made from hardwood. Pre-drilled holes can be reamed out with these tools. They work much better than other reamers I’ve tried. Seem to be sharper.

Dose the job I bought it for nicely
Recently I purchased a bicycle trailer, but during assembly I came to learn the welding was garbage, and the gates, while they could be put into position, were so badly aligned that the lynch pins couldn't go through both holes to lock them in place. After a fruitless search to purchase smaller lynch pins at local stores, and no way to order any as I didn't know the size I had and didn't want to waste money getting some that were bigger or the same size I already had, I decided my best option was to make the hole fit the pin, since I couldn't make the pin fit the hole. Enter this product. As it's made of carbon steel, I figured it would eat through any softer metal without issue and was not disappointed. The trailer is made of a normal steel, so it stood no chance. My gate fits great now and this tool doesn't have a single chip in the blade. Very good quality product. As long as you don't need to cut something harder than carbon steel you won't be disappointed by this tool.

Worked great on the stainless steel lid of my BBQ grill
I bought this to slightly enlarge a hole in the lid of my BBQ grill. It worked exactly as expected and designed. I've put it away for using should I ever need to do something similar in the future.

A REAMER IS NOT A TOY!
I frequently need a tool to help me in tapping hard metal such as stainless steel for screw threading. I the past, I would have to step drill and file in order to get the tap started properly. This tool has made my job a lot easier. I've read other ratings on this tool(not so complementary) but I purchased it anyway. Reason: Not made in China or other out-sourced countries but made in Japan, Switzerland or Germany who I believe are the forerunners in making tools for metal working, cutting and sharpening. Hints for other users that gave this tool a bad rating. Be patient, use sufficient manual force for bite and and use a good grade of cutting oil in metal work. "Tee rod frequently falling off?" Solution for those who can't chew gum and walk a the same time: Put some tape(duck, masking, electrical, band aid, chewing gum, etc) on the rod. Addition/modification: Put a rubber washer on the shaft below the handle to prevent knuckle abrasion. Maintenance: Yes this tool will become dull through use or abuse but can be resharpened. I've done it before on other reamers using diamond files.

Good steel
A file won't touch this steel at all. Nice. I use tiny o rings to keep the handle from sliding out. Spares from those sold for customizing mechanical computer keyboard feel work well (as well as just buy some normal O rings if you'd rather).

Great for reaming holes for custom guitar work
Japanese made steel holds reputation in craftsmanship, used this to ream out the holes of an overseas guitar for new cts pots and switchcraft toggle, WORKED PERFECTLY. a little bit of tape on the ends of the handle helps keep it from sliding out onto the floor while using. Great sharp product

Too short, no detent on handle
The reamer is too short so your hand is way too close to the work. Also the T handle is not retained in any way so using the tool is complicated by having to keep the thing in place.

Absolutely brilliant. Precision Japanese engineering
Helped me core out some ring terminals that were a few mm too small.
