Inexpensive yet huge benefits
The Hot shoe cover bubble works great as a leveler and covers the hot shoe when not attaching a flash unit. One reviewer reports that it hangs over the back edge of the camera body. Mine doesn't and is flush. Since it is a rubber compound, which allows it to stay in place and not get accidentally bumped off, it probably needs to be pushed forward a little more making sure the little rail guides are in the grooves. This sounds harder than it is. Mount it once properly and it is no big deal to remove and remount.Great product, well worth it and not much money. If you want your photos to look more professional and not so amateurish, then get your camera level on both axis so that your verticals are straight. Something is just wrong with walls or buildings that are falling into the center or leaning way over like the leaning tower of Pisa.

Great product at a great price....
For those who have a Sony a6000 - or just need a slim level that fits perfectly in a hot shoe - this would be what to purchase. It's very low profile and gets the job done without interfering with the profile and/or pocketability of the camera - and as it's a simple bubble level, it's also pretty foolproof.... The rubber holding the level into the hot shoe is a slip resistant rubber, so it will stay in place until you decide to remove it - rather than having it come loose and falling out when you least expect it. Highly recommended!

Important a6000 Accessory
I recently purchased a Sony a6000 and I was a little dismayed to see all of the exposed contacts on the hotshoe mount. I ordered the FotoTech cover to protect the hotshoe.Pros:-Durable, rubber construction. The FotoTech cover stretches and bends slightly, but feels sturdy and I'm not worried about it tearing while putting it on, or taking it off the camera.-Fit. The FotoTech cover slides right into the grooves in the hotshoe mount.-Level. The level is actually a really nice addition. Even if it doesn't add a tremendous amount of utility, it looks kind of cool.Cons:-While the FotoTech cover slides right into the intended grooves, it does not sit perfectly flush with the body of the camera, a protrudes ever so slightly over the back edge of the camera. Ideally, it would "click" into place to ensure it is seated correctly. At a minimum, it should not protrude over the back edge of the camera when fully inserted.Verdict:I would encourage anyone with a brand new Sony mirrorless camera to snag a FotoTech cover to protect their investment. I would love to see it redesigned to prevent the small amount of overhang, but that's a pretty trivial negative compared the overall utility and reasonable price.

Keeps my camera looking/feeling compact.
I like this because it's cheap and it doesn't bulge from the camera like the 3-D cubed counterpart of this type of cover. I just wanted something to cover that hotshoe but also quickly help me align the camera when I use video or take a shot and rely on the lcd screen- which I do a lot. You should note that this is for someone who will look down on the top of the camera to check that it's leveled before a shot (which I do a lot, in hand or on tripod), you can't really align the bubble to the circle if you're eye level with the viewfinder or lcd screen. You will want the 3-D cubed version that protrudes from the camera, which you have to remove when you're storing the camera in a bag because it will snag things and possible break something.

Decent
Cool cover for my a6000 hotshoe with a neat level feature. I'm not trying to use the level for any kind of precision, but for example I often hike on steep hillsides where finding level can be a challenge so I just need to be in the ballpark.Honestly though I'm not sure why this needs to have a List Price of 9.99 as of current, it's just a piece of rubber (no plastic mount) with a dollar-store spirit level. Even the "sale" price I got this at seems quite steep. However the most popular hotshoe level at time of writing is known for serious quality concerns so I thought this was a nice compromise.Fit- 4/5 this is a "universal" cover that doesn't sit perfectly in my a6000, but it does do the job and it stays in place.Function- 4/5 I'm not going to rely on it for to-the-degree accuracy, but it works well enough.Build quality- 3/5 I'd prefer a plastic mount so it snaps into place, the rubber construction seems like an odd choice.Value- 2/5 I could see a similar product being found in a dollar store. To be fair their reliability seems pretty good so I can understand being a little more expensive, but the List Price is crazy. So it works, and unless you have something better in mind, I'd say the protection factor is worth the admission price. But if there were better options, I would have gone with something else.

Fits like a glove and looks OEM.
Foto&Tech 2 in 1 hot shoe cover was used with my Sony A6000. Works and fits like a glove, since the newer A6 camera does not come with built in leveler this add-on it very useful! Full up down and side to side balance. The Material is softer/rubberized so it can snugging fit into the hot shoe, but the core of the leveler is hard plastic.

Holds tight, protects well
Fits very nicely in the hotshoe of my Sony Alpha A7ii. The bubble level is somewhat redundant, as the camera has an electronic level, but I can see its usefulness, especially when setting up on a tripod. I liked that it was rubber and not plastic and it was easy to grasp to remove.

This is a cheap and easy way to get some value out of that space ...
I am a travel photographer. I don't use strobes, so my shoe on my Sony a7rii is always empty. This is a cheap and easy way to get some value out of that space on your camera. It doesn't fit 'perfectly' and I'm pretty sure that someday it might fall out and I'll lose it, but it is a cheap and easy way to get some extra utility.

Great value for the money
Great value for the money. Super smart accessory. My tripod has two of this bubbles, but can't see them when the camera is a bit low, not to say at night. Very practical too when I use the camera on a gorilla pod. I should have get a couple extra of them for give aways for my friends :)

Great hot shoe cover for my Sony A6000!
I bought this product to cover the hotshoe on my Sony A6000 and because I thought it would be handy to have a level for my landscape type shots. It did not disappoint. I was surprised to see that the material it was made out of was some type of rubber, rather then a solid plastic piece. However, this is good because it fits very tightly and snug into the hot shoe. There is no chance of it sliding out. The level seems to work fine, but will only work for landscape (horizontal) shots (not portrait). If you want something cheap and good quality to cover the hot shoe, and give you an added level as a bonus, this is great.5/5 would recommend.

Passt
