SpaGuard Trio Spa and Hot Tub 3 Month Pre Measured Water Softening Kit (2 Pack)

When I first bought my spa I am the type of person to ask a lot of question and then do my own research, the dealer suggested that I start and finish my cycles with this product and I have no complaints. I have not had a need to try another product.I am running a salt water spa with a chlorine generator which I occasionally supplement with standard chemicals. I have been using this product since the original first start and it has been great helping keep fresh water.I especially like the final step where it deep cleans the spa: I remove all of the filters, run the spa jets and add the final bag to the spa and after 15-20 minutes you can see all the build up get cleaned out. Then I cut the power to the spa, clean the spa sum lines, drain it and fill it about 1/3, clean and spray down and drain it again. Then I fill it up and let it get up to temperature, after reaching 102 degrees I add the 1st step from the new box and then weekly maintenance as directed.In the two years that I have own the spa I haven't had any issues I wasn't able to correct and I like to think it's because I am using this product as directed.

I know, I know, some people would complain if they were hung with a new rope....I am not a low star whiner, I am doing this specifically to help others. I am giving it two stars because I cannot recommend it based on my experience. I think one star would be vindictive. We used this system for over 2 years based on a recommendation from our hot tub supplier as it being near essential. We would consistently get cloudiness after less than 2 months and would be unable to raise chlorine levels. We chased all the parameters around the block many times, consulted with our supplier and did endless research, but just about every time we would have to drain and start over in 2 months or less, for another hundred bucks. Finally we decided to stop using it... since then our tub always stays crystal clear, chlorine levels stay stable with routine dosing up to 4 months, never less than 3. We have the exact same dosing regimen of other chemicals, everything balances easily if we add water. In fact we only drain it after 4 months or more based on cyanuric acid levels getting high. The water “feeling” difference was not really that much different. Your chemistry may allow it, but at $100 a pop, I would consider the necessity, or in my case the detriment. I would have been better off just putting a hundred dollar bill in every round. So, if you are having similar problems, try not using it for a while and see what happens.

I've been using this for 2 years now. No more adding chemicals to the hot tub, this does the trick and works great. Add the original pack and then one pack every week. Smells good too.

When I purchased a new Jacuzzi brand spa the seller recommended this product and it works excellent. Add once a week along with normal chemicals and spa always looks great. Also comes with start-up and finish chemicals. Best system I've ever used.

These recently got more expensive, so I did another round of research for alternatives. But it seems this is still the best option out there. It works out to $30 a month, which isn't so bad, I guess. I can definitely tell a difference in the way the water feels before and after.

These packs are great and do make a difference in my spa, but alas there is something in this blend that makes me break out all over. My skin turns into a giant rash and it takes a good 10 days of being tub-free before I clear up. It's a good idea, and maybe it works well for other people, but I don't buy it again.

Have used this product the last couple of years. Makes weekly spa upkeep a breeze. Box good for three months, then drain and refill using a new kit.

The easiest way to take care of my hot tub ever with the best results of any product I've used. Water is super soft and crystal clear for the ten week cycle.
