Red felt poppy pin

I love this red felt poppy pin. It is a nice red and has a simple and tasteful look to it and is a perfect size. Poppy pins are impossible to find in stores anymore and was happy to find this one. As a child, I and my siblings wore the paper poppy pins that our Dad bought to school on Veterans Day. This pin is well made and will last many many years.

Looks perfect on dress or coat

Very well-made to last, with speedy delivery; have ordered three more. I too have memories of my grandfather supplying me with a paper poppy each 11/11 and have wished they were still available. I often have purchased them in Canada if we are there at the time as they are readily available and widely worn. VFW or some such organization should take them up again as there seems to be renewed interest in the U.S. for showing our gratitude for the sacrifice of both the men, their families, and the two million "surplus women" as they were termed in the UK, who lost the opportunity to have their own families. Our 11 year old grandson requested one for next year and loved hearing about their origin, meaning and the original Armistice Day, as well as being able to pass it on to his California class who in turn were fascinated by the "11the hour of the 11th day of the 11th month" Thank you from our family.

I could not be happier with my poppy. Remembrance Day is a big deal for me and you just can’t find poppies to wear in my town. I am so pleased with this!
