The good news... it's actually pretty high quality for the price you're paying.The bad news... It's not the same jack as in the stock photos. I'm specifically looking for the version in the stock photo. You'll notice that it does not have a see through slot at the base. I own the 8x8 version and feel it is great quality. In the stock photo of this listing, there is no see through base, so I thought this is the 4x4 version of the one I have. But what I received was a different shade of blue, it's more like teal, and there is a slot at the bottom. The edges are a little sharp, not smooth like the other version. For some reason, Amazon has removed the ability to add photos right now. So I will direct you to another listing for photos. What I got looks more like ASIN: B07Q98PRTP. Search that ASIN and you'll see exactly what you'll get.My pet peeve with sellers is when they think minor details don't make a difference and that consumers won't mind. We do mind. Pictures should represent exactly what we are buying. I will try again with a different listing. If I get what I'm looking for, I will return this. But maybe all the 4x4 inventory is like this regardless of photos, if that's the case, I will keep it because it's actually not bad. This is much better than the thin silver ones.

I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this based on the price point. I would have tweaked it to the point where I was satisfied with it. However, I am very disappointed with the finish, which is chrome paint over, what looks like, spot rust. The chrome paint residue got on my hands when I took it out of the box. Even the adjustment knob was painted. Obviously they was no pride in craftsmanship or quality assurance.

Perfect for what I wanted it for. This thing raises my router up into position and lowers it down real easy.Saved me couple hundred bucks from not having to buy a lift.

Nice product. Looks well built. I use it as an adjustable height platform to position different size specimens for viewing under a microscope. Previously I had to stack different thickness materials to get the specimen in position. It also allows me to keep the eyepieces at a consistent ergonomic viewing height when I add a 2X barlow lens. Perfect for my application.

This lab jack is sturdy, but it is NOT made with stainless steel, instead of it should be zinc plated steel. The vendor should correct its product description on the web page. Also its edges are quite sharp, you are better to file to round off all the edges and corners to prevent from cutting your fingers. Product was returned.

This item be careful when handling the unit the edges are very sharp and you could get cut, the workmanship is poor but if you need something out in the garage it's okay I hope but for a LAB ARE LAB OFFICE NO DO NOT USE THIS, DUE TO A HI RISK OF BEING CUT FROM MOVING THE UNIT.

The base and platform are both made of very thin metal, be careful not to cut yourself. But I guess for the price it should work ok for what I need. Only time will tell if it holds up or not.

I was looking for an easy lift system for a Harbor Freight router and router table and this worked perfectly. The router is a fixed base unit. I loosen the depth adjuster on the router, adjust the bit height with the scissor jack, and retighten the depth adjuster. It is a far superior method than doing it by hand!
