Gorgeous watch and great customer service before and after the purchase. The dial is not a matte "parchment" color as appears in the photos, but rather a slightly reflective bronze/brass satin finish. Dark brown strap is quite stiff but high quality and beautiful.

I was flabbergasted when I opened the box and saw this beautiful watch staring back at me. The pictures really don't do it justice, which is actually something worth mentioning, as a matter of fact. The first picture for this product shows a light brown strap and the hands are matte black. The rest of them show a watch with a dark brown strap and the hour and minute hands are black with silver outlining and the second hand is plain silver. Clearly they have two different products (more than likely mixed pictures of and older and newer model) but the watch I received has the darker strap and silver outlined hands, which I liked more. Anyway, onto the reviewCONSTRUCTION: the polished stainless steel case is, well, stainless steel. It's not as durable as titanium but obviously more durable than plastic. It has a screw-on caseback and is water resistant to 5ATM, which is average for a luxury watch. It's not a diver after all so don't expect to be swimming with this. One thing that bothers me is the crystal. I understand this particular model is only $230 but I wish they had chosen to use sapphire crystal instead of hardened mineral. Its not a deal breaker, however. Moving on, the calf leather strap, as stated in previous reviews is a bit stiff but I'm confident it will be fine after some break-in time. The Swiss movement keeps accurate time, however the second hands sometimes ticks between the second marks, which is kind of bothersome to any watch enthusiast.PROS:- 24 hour dial- Swiss movement- durable stainless steel construction- made in Germany, not China!- easy to read dial with contrasting numbers and hands- the numbers are embossed, not merely printed (much like the text you would see on a business card)- lightweight- just an overall aesthetically pleasing classic, vintage looking watchCONS:- The 24 hour hand is not accurate. It should be moving half as fast as the hour hand but it ends up a little slow. It reads 15:30 when it's 15:45. For having a Swiss Movement, I'm not very pleased with this- mineral crystal instead of sapphire- crown is a little large, taking away from the overall elegance- The watch fits a tad loose on my wrist because there aren't enough holes on the strap. I admit I have smaller wrists so it shouldn't be a problem for anyone with average wrists or larger but this is the only watch I own (about 25) that is loose. I may punch a hole to make it fit betterOVERALL:Overall I like the watch. If I could, I would only give this 3.5 stars and here's why. It has a lot of really nice things about it like the detailed, intricate dial and that it's made in Germany. However, it also has a few key negatives that I think need to be improved. Namely, the 24 hour dial. How that ends up being inaccurate, especially in a Swiss made movement, is beyond me. I don't care if it's only $230. If you advertise it with having a Swiss movement, people expect accuracy. I will try contacting the company to see is this is the case with all this company's watches

Great product

This is a functional, good-looking watch.Pros: It has a masculine, retro look and feel.It has the features I wanted.I'm a retired engineer and it fairly shouts precision German engineering.Cons: It's better worn during the day. For night use I prefer the Stuhrling Original 532.03 Leisure Esprit.The Zeppelin doesn't feel quite right on my wrist. As has been mentioned, the leather band is stiff.

Really like the watch. Design, readability and quality are all 5-stars. I also like the fact that I can change the GMT without changing the normal time. The only nit-pick I have is that the GMT hand runs slightly slow.

Fantastic watch for everyday use, easy to read dial and gmt function is simple to set. Lug horns dig in slightly making it a little uncomfortable on the wrist and the strap is quite stiff but it should improve over time. Overall, very reasonable for the price.

Very sturdy and reliable watch but still I don't know useability of an extra hand. I will have to refer to the youtube. Moreover I was sceptical about the authenticity of the product but when I got the watch I felt I was unnecessarily worried. Ethos Watch had supplied a real genuine watch.
