My 8yo was so thrilled with this mermaid costume! The tail is a nice sturdy quality and the snaps are easy to use. It fit well with the plastic monofin I bought elsewhere, but also looks good with a foam insert or just with feet. The bathing suit part is really cute too.

I ordered this for my seven year old for Christmas because she asked for a “rainbow mermaid fin you can swim in” for herself and a pink one for her five year old sister. The swimsuit portion of this set is very unattractive (in my opinion). Both pieces balloon out and look very puffy on. It almost makes my girls look like they’re wearing a diaper underneath. The tail itself is nice. It has snaps at the fin so that you can place a monofin inside if you choose to (although this does not come with one). It also includes a cute little headband. All I wanted was the mermaid tail and therefore I am happy with my purchase, but if you actually intended your child to make use of the included swimsuit you may want to keep looking as this is not very flattering or well made.***UPDATE***Swimsuit is adorable on her five year old sister, although I still don’t think I’d let her wear it in public. Five year old will hardly take it off.

The top is definitely not for a child. My daughter's top was tied snugly but came off in the pool. She is a young 9 1/2 yr old developing girl who was completely embarrassed. The top is for a grown woman who is filled out. What child wears a top that ties on top around the neck and another tie around the back. And the top tie around the next is way to thick and short to give it a secure tie. You'd think at least the back would be secure with a long tie for around the neck, but that is not the case with this product. I ended up going to Walmart and buying her a brand new suitable swimsuit I was able to see in person. She still uses the bottom fin part that she loves, but you know that's just for looks obviously because you can't swim with it on without sinking down and risking drowing.

This swimsuit and tail is so cute and fits as expected. My daughter loves it. The only complaint I have is after one use, the stitching in two spots was coming apart so I had to sew it. But for the price and how adorable it is, it is worth buying.

This is such a cool swimsuit package. Really beautiful. I bought it for my daughter for her 2nd birthday (which had a mermaid theme). I knew it would probably be big for her, but the swimsuit actually fits pretty good (along with the flower headband). The mermaid tail is really big, but it isn't really functional anyway - it's made for decoration and lots of nice photosThe flower headband does have a sturdy wire in it, which my daughter is not really used to, but it didn't seem to bother her at all.The little girl loves being a mermaid and loves her new swimsuit! Makes me love it too!

The tail fits perfect at the waist; however the bottoms don't look like they are on in the right direction. When changed around, it made no difference. The top loosens up after getting wet and we had to make adjustments. Not huge problems, but just had to readjust after a couple hours of being in the water and on the beach playing.

This product exceeded expectations. The material is sturdy and well made. It is exactly as shown and I feel the fit is true to size. I purchased it a little larger as it won’t be worn until next year. The colors are vibrant and it will be a fun suit to use at the pool. Overall it is much better than I expected and is a good value.

So if your wondering about sizing I am a 45 inch hip. 38 inch waist 5 foot 8 female. Who has thick thighs and a butt to boot. The Adult Large fits well, it is streachy there is forgivness in the fabric, i am not struggling to get in it i can slip in easily. theres a button closure at the bottom which I will later replace with a zipper one. It looks fantastic and you can walk in it. The material is thick. And the dorsel fins are nice! I cannot wait to use it! I was worried about it being too small. Will update about in water usage!
