Eagle 13A Plug In Dimmer

Where I live, the bedroom side of the house is totally pitch dark at night. So dark, I cannot see to stumble my way to the bedroom door. I needed something that would let me keep the bedside lamp on but at a very low level throwing just enough light to see where I'm treading. This device is ideal as the dim light level is low enough for me to get to sleep, but just enough so I don't stumble around in complete darkness.

I bought this to use on a glue gun to adjust the temperature down slightly to avoid constant dripping from the gun whilst in use. I had a peek inside, and although these are only rated for a couple of hundred Watts, build quality seems good. There is a 10 Amp triac inside but no heat sink, hence the low Wattage.Used at low power this should last a good while.NOTE: The title of this is a bit misleading. The "13Amp" bit refers to the plug/socket type, not the load rating of the device!
