This Does The Job
When I opened the package upon receipt I thought this scooper would be too inconvenient to carry around because of the size. But I gave it a go and it works for me. There's a little learning curve when picking up where there's knot grass. You have to be careful not to dig into the grass so much or else the scooper gets caught in the knotted grass and the prongs bend (you can easily straighten them back). Picks up most poop but smaller sizes fall out, so you try again. Carrying this around gives you a weapon to use for any danger (loose dogs, coyotes). Easy to clean..just brush it back and forth through the clean grass and it will wipe the prongs clean. This is very sturdy...don't know how anyone can possibly break it. This was purchased because I have difficulty bending that low and this has helped my back. I recommend this scooper.

It works.
This is the one I keep coming back for. There are a few times that I have decided to try to find a "better" pooper scooper ( clasp, rake, pinch, shovel, baggies ) but I usually find out that this new fancy tool I just bought to pick up poop doesn't work any better, but it cost me 3x as much. There is a flaw in the design of this pooper scooper that I have run into every single time and it causes a stability issue between the two sides. After a month or two the nut & bolt that holds the two pieces together starts loosening up as the wood wears away. This little problem is the beginning of the end. 1. The little wobble between to sides of the rake begins2. The sides don't line up as easily which speeds up the wear and tear process because now you have to slide them back together every time you use it.3. The death rattle begins. This is when the wobble is not restricted to the side to side, but now it's also the up and down motion as well.4. ...the death of the pooper scooper. It usually occurs when the wood holding the two sides together snaps or the nut and bolt fall out.All things wear down eventually, some faster than others. This is a $13 pooper scooper that I can handle replacing when needed. My current one lasted 11 months, but the last one only made it to 4 months. The only reason I have tried other brands is due to the frustration associated with this one falling apart the same way every time. The wood breaks down with just the friction of regular usage. If you look closely at the picture there is not a great deal of wood surrounding the area attaching the two sides. As that area is worn down it's very easy to see why things start falling apart.I would personally suggest the company comes up with a way to reinforce that area. While they are at it if they could add something extra to the top area where a person holds it because once the paint starts chipping off it creates what I would like to call the "sliver danger area".Setting that issue aside I keep coming back to this pooper scooper because it's a good price, the rake side is sturdy, and it has the other side without the rake to make sure that even the smallest poop stays inside where they belongs. The rake on this pooper scooper is perfect because the prongs are not that long. I don't need to dig 4 inches into my grass to pick up the poop. I have had another pooper scooper with the rake area on both sides. It was sturdy and I loved it but the prongs always got stuck in the grass/root area and they started bending and lifting out of place as they pulled up the roots of my grass. My pooper scooper sits on my patio in the corner behind the garden hose reel (under the roof). It's not sitting in the middle of the yard baking in the sun and soaking up the rain but it does occasionally get both. I mention this because it would most likely last longer if I stored it in the garage or a shed. I just don't want to carry the stinky thing too far.

Works great
I bought this for my 93 year old neighbor because this style is the only pooper scooper she likes. (I do 99% of the scooping but she likes to it on occasion) and it is a lot easier to use than those spring loaded ones. Since it sits outside I don’t clean it often but a little spray w the hose works great.

Best for Poop in the Grass (and a good Garden Stone Rake, too!)
I've got an 80-pound, 8-month-old Weimaraner whose frequent "lawn gifts" were becoming a bit unwieldy with the previous pooper scoopers we've used. We had good results with one of those squeeze-the-lever-and-open-the-jaws models (like this one: Advance Poop Scoop ) -- especially in the winter -- but with the arrival of spring, it became much harder to get everything out of the grass. We've only been using this product for about 2 weeks, but the Rake gets right in under the poopy and lifts it right out of the grass in one movement. We ordered a scissor-style pooper scooper along with this one, too (which has yet to arrive), but we're in no hurry to try it out as this item has performed marvelously. As for the size of the product, I'm 6'4" and have had no trouble with its length, though it is slightly shorter than I would prefer. But it's the handle that compels me to give this a 4-star rather than 5-star review. It's essentially a wire loop with a rubber sleeve fitted over the top, so the grip feels hollow (because it is) where I'd prefer something more racquet-like. Otherwise, as for its function, it's a great time- and lawn-saving item.***Update at 10 months:I still rank this scooper very highly, although I will note that there is a tine that catches in my grass -- it may be Centipede grass, which has an above-ground runner system. One tine in particular snags the runners of the grass and neither combatant wants to let go, so the tine bends. I usually have to push it against a fence post to get it back in line with the other tines. Just a word of caution to anyone who has grasses with an intricate runner system (like St. Augustine's grass or seashore paspalum) that scooping too deeply may leave you in a tug of war with your lawn. This may delight your neighbors, but it's not much fun.*** Update ***When planting my garden this spring, I discovered that(an unopened, unused) poop fork works great for removing stones and pebbles from my garden beds. After the soil is tilled and worked, I raked it smooth (to a depth of 2") with the scooper and nabbed two buckets of pebbles. Smaller pebbles fall through the tines, but it's a huge improvement over hand picking.

Works good if it's not bent
Works good if it's not bent and it bends very very easily. It's only aluminum when I thought it would be stainless steel. Oh well, I still can't use it because of dog poo odor.

Hands down this is the best pooper scooper set I've ever had or seen
Hands down this is the best pooper scooper set I've ever had or seen. The larger one is pretty large, so I'd hold off unless you have a pretty big yard, only clean up the poo once every few months, and don't like emptying the scoop more than once when you clean, or if you have a horse (it's definitely strong enough!). The quality is excellent, it's made of strong stainless steel and aluminum and the handle is sealed with plastic or rubber! I forgot mine in the US when I moved over here so I decided to go with the "small" (which is not small, it's a perfect size) and it's just as great as the one I had but in a much more reasonable size. Anyway, it's great, I can't recommend it enough.
