I needed something to make a little platform to put my trash cans on, and came upon this item. Believe me, I have had compliments on my trash can platform!! Who even notices someone's trashcan holder, normally?The tiles are very easy to snap together. I alternated the direction of the tiles, and it is quite attractive. The wood looks nice, I debated buying the fake plastic wood versus real wood, and I am glad I went with real. The color is good, and the weather has been quite miserable lately, with lots of rain. The platform still looks new.First, I had to create a little frame (I used 2x4's, with cross pieces at the right spots to hold it all together - this didn't take long.) then I laid the tiles on the frame, snapped them together, and screwed in the corners to keep it secure. Presto!

I made sure There were at least 8 slats, easier to cut and fit into a specific space. Very easy to snap and unsnap unlike stated in some of the reviews. Easiest job I’ve ever done. I’m glad I had a rim and wall on all 4 sides, I don’t think I would like the snaps to show on the ends. You need some kind of border.

I have been wanting these for my little 8x10 balcony. I finally got them! They look great and have lasted through our first rain with them. However they took me a good 2 hours to do my small balcony. You should definitely have your husband put these together. My wrists and fingers were killing me after doing a few of these. You really need that male weight to push into them to snap them together. They are actually quite difficult to snap together, but again I am only 100 lbs so maybe if a 190lb+ man did it, it would be a lot easier and faster.

I bought these to put on my roof top, they looked great and I was so excited. Then on a very windy day I looked out the window and saw my tiles on my neighbors roof. I ran up to my roof where I saw my tiles had been blown all over, I took them down and will now give them to a friend. I was very disappointed that they were not heavy enough to stay on top of a 3 story roof.

I am using these tiles on an outside deck. Installation was easy, after a few minutes of common-sense trial and error. Once you open the box, no tools are needed, but a small knife can be handy to push plastic interlocks into each other. I ordered two boxes first, installed the tiles, checked what happens after two months of sun and rain, then ordered two more boxes. The color does wear off a bit -- new tiles vs older tiles, -- but not much, and the tiles still look great. Highly recommended.

I like these tiles a lot. I'm using them in leiu of drying boards for pottery. They're just the right size for my shelving. They're just a little oranger than I expected from the photos, but they are nice looking. I may go ahead and buy some more for my back patio. I think they'd be stunning for their intended purpose. Slatted boards for air drying greenware pottery are very expensive and these are a nice alternative that work in many cases.

I was looking for something easy to install over my concrete front porch and thought these looked good as I was going for Asian theme. They are pretty but some of the tiles were impossible to click together because the little plastic tabs were irregular. I tried even switching out different tiles, no luck. Plus unless you buy matching beveled transition pieces, the raw edges of the plastic are visible. It's really tough to find the transition pieces. Plus when I calculated it all out with 10% margin, it was just too pricey per square foot. I ended up returning the tiles.

Easy to install! Once you lock it in, you can't undo it, though. So, get it right the first time!..
