Great buy for a practical & professional pen/pencil case!
This nylon canvas case is an excellent buy! The zipper works smoothly and it has 35 single pen/pencil slots plus 3 larger slots for oversized items. I currently have 43 gel pens in it, with my Sharpie paint pens in the larger slots. It folds up slimly & I like it better than a roll because you can more easily store your pens horizontally in a tote for travel. There is an odd long nylon loop on it that serves no purpose, so I cut off & inserted it into the zipper pull tab to make it longer & more user friendly. The fact that the zipper pull tab is small & not easily located is the only thing I would change about this practical & professional looking zippered pen/pencil case! Good thing that's easily remedied with a piece of scrap ribbon or the strange & unnecessary nylon loop!

The holders are great for my art pencils and I like the size/shape
The holders are great for my art pencils and I like the size/shape, but the zipper is very difficult to close. Maybe it just needs to be broken in, but right now I have to force it if I want to move the zipper.

Defective item
Had 2 orders arrive. 6 of these total. Two had broken zippers. Unfortunately I'm stuck with them as the return is to a UPS store and I have none close to me. The cases are ok for pencils otherwise if you don't mind rubber banding the cases.

Nice pencil/brush holder
On the plus side the pencil/brush holder looked adequately made on the interior of the product. Sadly, the slider on the zipper appeared to break upon first use. On the plus side again, the supplier agreed to refund the purchase price due to the faulty slider.

Plenty of room and compact
My sister loves this for her art class. She can keep her 24 pack colored pencils, all her drawing pencils, art eraser, and small pencil sharpener in this with plenty more room. It can even hold a small sketch pad and is simply and compact to slip in her backpack easily.
