Teng Tools3/8 Inch Drive Fibre Reinforced Ratchet - 3800FRP, Silver

Well made tool. Ratchet is comfortable to use and seems to be good quality. It is lightweight. It's nice to have a soft touch material around the outside of the ratchet so that nothing is scratched or damaged when using the tool. The looks are also very attractive. Would recommend this tool for anyone looking for a good quality ratchet. I don't feel that it is up to the quality of Snap-on or Mac but it seems to be well made enough for heavy use. Ratchet shipped quickly and was exactly as described. Would recommend Teng Tools to anyone from the do it yourselfer to the master mechanic. It is well worth the price.

Really nice tool with great action, but seems to be intended for weekenders. The plastic construction is tough and grippable, especially in cold weather. But if you are any kind of serious engine mechanic this tool is not for you. The plastic is hard to clean, making me wish it was smooth metal I could just wipe with a rag. The plastic gets a lot of knocks in tight spaces and is not very good for tapping sockets into position. Thought I would give it a try since there were no reviews, but if I had read this I would have gotten a metal handled ratchet.

I bought this 3/8 ratchet as a spare, I have to admit I like the colors and appearance. Works great, I work in an industrial environment so tools take a beating. No issues or problems so far.

This ratchet is lightweight and feels good in the hand. I am slowly replacing my Snap-On with Teng tools. When my hands are oily I can still grip the tool well. The big problem with Snap-On is the warranty. With Teng all you do is take a photo of the broken tool and email them and they will ship a brand new one. I haven't had to warranty a tool yet but with Snap-On you have to meet up with a truck and many times they want to argue with you about the replacement.

I have a few ratchets, cheap and decent, but I do find myself using this more often than not. it's NOT a fine tooth ratchet, but it has a nice feel, turns easily, very little slop and no drag. My HF Pittsburgh ratchets are used often, but usually in tandem with this one. If you want a super precision, million tooth ratchet, this isn't it. But, it just works. ;-)

Have nevef bought teng before but having had good reviews from friends decided to try. I bought 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 ratchets and a torque ratchet. Very impressed with the quality for the price
