This series is an alternative universe storyline that is separate and different from the original "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" series. The Nagato-Chan in this series is a real human and not an alien life form. Haruhi goes to a different school. Kyon is still a major character and is the romantic love interest of Negative-Chan. Same funny and wacky stories but with less Haruhi and no weird sci-fic stuff. It more slice of life Japanese high school stuff. Still very enjoyable in a more relaxed way from the Regular Haruhi series. The art style is different from the original Haruhi series, but still good and very naturalistic. If you like the Haruhi series, you will enjoy the Nagato story arc too. Very complimentary together. More to enjoy!

A new character from Kyon's past shakes things up and makes you wonder how the dynamics of the group will be affected. In addition, fans of the original series should be particularly invested in the events of this volume.

i simply expected more. more emotion, more something. but i guess the ending is alright.

Yuki was always my favorite character in the anime and this alternate story arc is amazing.

Good Read

It’s Autumn and North High and nearby Kouyouen Academy are holding a joint cultural festival. Ryoko has black-mailed Kyon into joining the organization committee, along with Yuki (little doubt coerced by Ryoko ). The Kouyouen committee members are Haruhi, Koizumi and a gal named Sasaki, who just so happened to be a close friend of Kyon in middle school.Haruhi desires to get a band together to perform during the festival (a mere month before!) to which Yuki and Kyon feel deep reluctance in joining. Kyon and Sasak’s friendship appears to rekindle, which along with their past history and how much more comfortable Sasaki is with Kyon, poor Yuki begins to highly question her position as Kyon’s friend.Also, two original “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” characters, Tanaguchi and Kunikida are also part of this part of the story line, with Taniguchi meeting and becoming interested in a Kouyouen student named Kuyou.This has become one of my most favorite books of the “Disappearance of Nagato Yuki chan” series, and as I’ve come to find out an anime TV show of this series is being made and hopefully to be released on video here in the U.S. in the future, this volume 6 played out to me as a nicely written TV episode. One side note to fans of the original Haruhi TV series, Yuki makes an amusing comment tied to an infamous event of TV season 2 regarding a number of episodes that felt akin to the movie Groundhog day. It’s pretty funny. Oh, and Ryoko? You might want to chill a bit on the Stew there, I think poor Yuki would like to have something else now and then.Volume 6 is a definitely a recommended volume in the series, and a personal favorite. Different than the original Haruhi story line and definitely aimed more at those who preferred Yuki to Haruhi as Kyon's love interest. This has been my second favorite volume of this spin-off and I'm hoping production of it will speed up with the upcoming release of the anime because it's too good to be releasing this slowly!

Achtung; diese Manga Serie ist in Englisch!Es ist eine Spin-Off Manga Serie von "the melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". Es hat einen ähnlich guten Humor. Für jeden Fan der Serie empfehle ich diese Serie.Er hat 10 Bände und ist abgeschlossen.
