Working well in our fish stocked pond. Will purchase again.
Veery easy to use. Just pour around edges of pond or use a boat and pour from side while in motion. Use vinyl gloves. Gives beautiful color and keeps light from penetrating which keeps algae from growing. Pond is fish stocked and no harm to fish. Kids still swim and all is great. Will purchase as needed for maintenance. Excellent value!

Blued up our pond!
We have a 2 acre pond that had been choked with lily pads so we had them taken care of. When they died and sunk the pond water looked BROWN. This product is easy to use (after finally getting the cap & protective cap liner off) and the product has made it a pleasant blue color in only a day! We used 2 gallons and, as instructed wore long pants to use. The blue dye is strong and difficult to remove from skin and clothing so be sure to wear OLD clothes and I’d suggest wearing rubber gloves! The fish (catfish and tilapia) have been unaffected by use of the product.

Works as intended
Just applied. Pond is a very nice blue shade. The reflections from the trees around pond are amazing now, very pretty. Time will tell on algae results. If you get it on your hands like I did, use baking soda, dish detergent and a little vinegar and scrub, it doesn't all come off but removes most. Rinse and repeat.

Best price I can find for the best dye
What else can I say. Good stuff, best price. Wouldn't use any other product. I have fish and we swim regularly. Never had an issue.

This stuff can't be for real!
We hand dug a pond approximately 1/2 acre in size, with an island in the middle, a bridge leading to the island, and a swimming dock. Our pond is about 12' deep at its deepest point. We have struggled with algae, cattails, azolla, some surface weeds, and a filamentous weed. Our best control was Muscrat Sam, whose sole purpose in life was to eat my foliage, good and bad. Unfortunately, he burrows into the perimeter and the island, destroying my shoreline. He had to be fired. I tried this Aquashade when the weeds were fully established. It took about a third of a gallon and an hour to turn my entire pond into a stunning teal color, and since then, my weeds have not died but they have not grown. They suggest pouring it on the ice in the spring, and that might provide for total weed control. I haven't lost my Canadian Goose family, my fish are all surviving, and even the bullfrogs and crayfish stick around. I would buy this product just for the colorant alone, but be prepared that a little goes a loooooong way.Update 6/27/19: We applied this first to the ice before the pond melted in the spring. We won't be doing it again because our pond has an overflow...which took most of the Aqua Shade with it. We bought another gallon, used less than half, and we have little to no weed growth...just a few stubborn pickerel weeds by the shore in the shallows. I don't mind those, though, and do not plan on eradicating them. The picture is three weeks after application. You can see the geese on the right, the deer in the back, but you can't hear the bullfrogs, and the turkeys are just to the left. I am now a steady customer.

2nd year I have used this
The media could not be loaded. I prefer a natural look but when my pond starts looking too muddy, I don’t mind giving it a little enhancement. As the pond dries up over summer there will be an awkward teal line on the shore, though.
