Can't listen to all the reviews you read.
I first saw this item while looking for a sword and belt for a link costume, and came across this. Looked through the product description, couldn't quite tell if it came with the sword or not. So, I check the reviews, found a couple of that seemed to tell me what I needed to know, and whether it was the way they did the wording, or the fact that they went ahead and bought the sword along with it, or was made out to seem that you get both the sword and belt for $16.00. Well either way it was not both. I placed my order, checked my email a couple days later only to find that I had an email from them that they needed my full address before they could ship it. As it turns out I didn't have my full street address on my shipping info. I corrected it and sent it to them, but it seems that the item got sent out the same day they sent me the email. Not much I could do at that point but wait and see if the new info caught up with the package. It didn't, it came very close, but as they didn't know where exactly it was going they returned it to sender. Otherwise it would have arrived on time. So I contacted Top Swords and asked "what now", didn't get a response. Sent another email a couple days later, got a reply saying "we've not received the package back yet but are sending you a new one anyway, here is your tracking number_ _ _ _. So, waited about 5 days, and just got it today, no trouble this time. As I got the package my fear that it was not the sword and belt, but was just the belt. I checked the belt out, and as its made to sit across your chest and over your back, I can say it is quite comfortable. Its almost a little to big, but I think when I get the sword it'll help even it out. Some people said it smells heavily of leather, and while it is made of leather, and does smell of leather, it's not that bad, nothing worse than buying a real leather belt at a store. Aside from the fact that I miss took some of the other reviews for something that this is not, I'm overall happy with the perches. The only thing I'd change is adding another notch or two in the belt, for the really tall and skinny people, as I'm 6'4" and only weigh 160. Overall I was also happy with how Top Swords handled this and wouldn't mind doing business with them again, All I'd say is to try and respond to inquires a little sooner. So just be sure to check your shipping info before ordering something and you should be good. Link Hyrule Sword Leather Belt Strap

Adjustment needed
After putting my sword into the belt, it would no longer buckle together. I was able to unstitch the thread on a couple of decorative and snap pieces, then switch them around to better fit me. Then one of the snaps broke when taking the sword out! I super glued it in place so hopefully the other 3 snaps will prevent it from breaking again. I was hoping to just buy it and it would be ready to wear, but it did arrive quick enough for me to adjust it before Halloween.

It's not the prittiest but its functional, good enough quality and affordable.
I got mine as an add on item when buying a sword to get free shipping from medieval replicas if I remember right? It looks a little cheap but its sturdy, I used it to carry a Viking shield on my back vs a sword that belongs on my waste anyways. Its a long, if you tried to wear it as a belt on your waste you better be 400lb or cut a good 18" off if you have a 36" waste or smaller but over the shoulder to carry a sword its still a little big lol, just add extra holes like I did. I still like it though, the snaps are strong, the stitching feels solid, it doesn't feel like its going to fall apart. Mine was a lighter shade of brown then whats shown in the picture but again I got mine from someplace other than amazon so that may be why? in the picture it looks like its a coffee color but mine is more like the color of a baseball glove, kinda tannish. Its good for the price and cosplay. I suppose if you must wear a sword on your back this is the item to get. Its not going to be the prettiest thing but for the price the quality and functionality it cant be beat which is why I gave it 4 stars and not 3

Ren Fair fare
Have to say this is a very nice product. Leather is heavy....very sturdy throughout. I have to return it because it is too large, wrapped around my body too much so the sword ended up in an uncomfortable position. I'm sure it is a great fit for a man. But I'm an average sized women. Also when I put my sword on with it the whole deal was just too heavy for my shoulders to bear. After an hour my neck would have been exhausted, let alone go all day at the Fair. I'm going to have to use a waist belt and frog which I thought would get in my way a bit more than a back holder. Would go without a sword, but mine sort of makes my outfit.I returned this item with no charges to me and was credited immediately. You can absolutely count on this dealer to work with you. I would buy from them again, and probably will as they have many items that are what I need for Ren Fair costumes. Kudos to the dealer.

For only $11 its a steal, but....
Good:1. I was able to fit a 3in width sword (that includes the sheath) into the holders by just using one of the buttons instead of both2. Looks nice works wellBad:1. The 3rd hold is kind of useless as it seemed with any sword I tried to clasp on with all three holder it seemed to make the belt not long enough, but you can just not use it (Can be seen in in costumers images under reviews if you want reference)2. Pretty sure you're going to have to drill more holes no matter what (very easy to do just take a knife and spin it to create a hole)3. For larger swords the belts sits a bit oddly.^^^^^^(Belt wasn't made for larger swords, so not the products fault)Overall: The the price it is totally worth it. I have seen belts slightly nicer as this go for 10X the price at Ren fairs. You might have to do a bit of tinkering with it, but nothing crazy.
