I am a City Letter Carrier with the US Postal Service in Decatur, Illinois. Winters in Central Illinois can be brutal - especially last year's. Unfortunately, I have to keep two fingers and a thumb exposed to the elements (in order to sort mail while walking my route). THIS DEVICE IS AN ABSOLUTE GODSEND! I keep it in my right-hand handwarmer pocket. In between deliveries, I stick my right hand in my pocket, wrap it around the hand warmer, and feeling returns to the exposed fingers.Mine lasts a full 6.5 - 7 hours. (I turn it off when I don't need it.) I have told numerous co-workers about it. I hope you get LOTS of business from my referrals. How did I get by without this?

Good solution for cold hands, but not perfect
Nice product. I have been using it all week in the early mornings with the temp in the 30's and they do work. Like other reviews and the product description says you do need to keep them covered, either in your pocket or something soft to keep them warm. If you have them outside for a few minutes in about 35 degrees weather they do not keep up the heat very well. I had a nylon rain coat on and they did not stay warm in the pockets, so I switched and put them in my wool zip-up sweater pockets and they stayed toasty warm for hours. When my hands got cold I reach in a grab them and they are GREAT to have. They do cool down after holding them with cold hands for a minute or so, so then you have to lave them in your pocket and within about 20 seconds they are really hot again.I thought they would stay hotter longer when holding them, but they are not too bad once you work out that you just have to leave them for a few seconds and they re-heat really fast.Overall i am pleased with the product, and if you are in need of something like this constantly they are really good to have. If you are doing a one-off trip to a cold place then you might want to look at buying some of the disposable hand warmers - but a few bucks a day on disposable ones can add up fast!I gave 4 stars because they do work and helped me a lot in the last week of using them every day. I would have given 5 if they stayed hotter longer! If i knew all this before buying, I would still have bought them, they are great to have, and its a one-time expense that lasts.

Okay but not great. Living with Raynaud's for 35 years progressively requiring more caution. I have used these electric heaters for the last six years with great success. When going online to order a set of replacements for the first of my three original sets found the original company I purchased them from was out of stock on this model so ordered the EnergyFlux instead since it is identical to the original heaters. Found the new ones only last five hours on low disappointing since the original duplicate device from another company originally ran for 10 hours and I reordered as the time factor degraded to five hours which is now all I get from the new set. Kept since I use these regularly however would not order from this vendor again, instead would wait to purchase when the last supplier has them back in stock.

Handwarmer Perfection!
I'm very thin (zero body fat) and have arthritis in my hands, so not only are they cold, but painful, too. I've tried just about everything under the sun except the electric sports/outdoor gloves (which are too pricey and impractical) I've tried compression gloves (epic fail); touchscreen gloves (no); microwaveable gel packs (can't get the microwave in my purse); disposable "shaker" or "snap" style heat packs (so wasteful and expensive); electric heating mitts (try moving around while you're tethered to those plastic bags)--I'd even ordered a competitor's USB warmer from another website and they were almost DOA. Finally, my search has ended!Pros*Extremely portable*Easy to charge*Begins warming immediately, with full heat after only 3-4 minutes*Both sides warm evenly!*Comes in three colors, so you can easily monitor battery performance if you own more than one*Just the right size to tuck in a pocket or small purse*Can wrap one hand around a single warmer or two hands on each side*Helps alleviate arthritic pain*Even on high, without a fabric covering, the heat is not so great that it's unbearable to hold.*The plastic end cap on bottom and cover on the top stay cool and allow it to be set on any surface without worry (or even keep in a pocket next to lip moisturizer without fear of melting your moisturizer).*The warmer's loss of heat during transfer to your hands is minimal, and the warmer reaches and retains your preferred heat level even better when placed in a pocket or other type of "cover" (this is also detailed and recommended in the enclosed operating manual).*The flashlight, strobe light, and phone charger features should be handy if needed (although I would never charge my smartphone with a device like this, as stated by the phone manufacturer).CONS*I'm not sure about the durability of the warmer, especially if dropped onto a concrete or tile floor surface. It might be fine, but the plastic can't be indestructible. I normally use them in my pockets when standing/walking and I hold them if I'm sitting, so it shouldn't be a concern.*A little pricey, but the investment is returned in comfort, efficiency, and satisfaction. Goodbye, cold, achy hands!NOTE: I've only had my warmers for a couple of weeks, and they arrived with almost a full charge. I only use them for a few minutes almost daily, but I'm already a 100% satisfied customer. They're practically perfect for me in every way!
