36 Inches Single Stem Plant Support Stakes Steel Garden Stakes Plant Stem Support, Pack of 20

The stakes are holding my gladiolas up, which was my reason for buying the stakes. They might not work for heavier stems.

I bought two sets of 20 of these stakes a year ago and found them incredibly useful in my native plant garden -- so much so, that I needed more than the 40 stakes I had. But the price had meanwhile jumped from $30 to almost $60, so I held off. Recently, this seller offered a seemingly identical set for slightly less than the old price, so I bought this set. They seem very much like the earlier versions, but the wire is slightly thinner and therefore more prone to bend in unwanted ways if you push it in too hard. Nonetheless, they still seem strong enough for most uses, which is mostly to hold up a single stem of tall, non-woody flowering plants.UPDATED: After a season of garden use, I'm even less enthusiastic. While my other sets are made of 4mm wire, these are made with 3mm wire, and they all too often bend when I'm trying to push them into the soil. I'd recommend 4mm wire for support stakes for any application; I've downgraded my review from 4 to 3 stars.

these are so thin and flimsy they will only support the thinnest of plant stems. do not waste your money! In the past I have purchased very sturdy stakes locally but they are only available in the spring. Since I have many more plants this year I thought I would look on Amazon but obviously I made a very poor choice and I hope you do not do the same. The gauge of wire used in these is so narrow I had to use 3 together to try to support one dahlia and even then the plant is falling over because these are useless.

The stakes themselves looked ok; they turned out to be too tall for my purposes. What ticked me off is that I was not able to return this item at a UPS Store for free, as I have been able to do on Prime purchases for many years. I have to return it to a Kohl's store, which is hugely inconvenient. If Amazon is changing its return policy, it should let people know. And each item subject to this stupidity should be clearly labeled. I guess when you're a huge monopoly you can do what you want.

We make a ghost circle for Halloween almost every year. We’ve used various different types of stakes to hold the ghosts up but these really held up well to the weather out here! And we were able to keep them for next year!

They were simple to use, super sturdy and very affordable. As soon as they arrived, I ordered another box. I have some plants that are over 5’ tall these 36” stakes have no problem holding them up. I have used other brands before that couldn’t do the job- too flimsy!

I just received these today. They are awesome. I used them for some taller flowers, and pepper plants. Best value for your money, I have shopped around.

They are keeping the tall bloomers in my garden upright and keeping my flowers alert and pretty. There are quite sturdy and coated in a green protective covering. I was afraid that they would be a rough metal. This was just what I was looking to purchase!

Disappointed in the gage of wire. Not sturdy enough for original use. OK for for light use
