Monroe Monro-Matic Plus 32338 Suspension Shock Absorber for Jeep Grand Cherokee

These shocks are a perfect fit for a 2 - 2.5 inch front lift (torsion bars) on the Ford Ranger Edge 2WD. JUST THE FRONT though. I did a lot of research to figure out the right length and fittings and this is the one. Really smoothed out the ride.

Although they are from a good brand, this model of shock is much lighter than the ones I had before in my truck. The axis is half of what it had, I feel that they will be very weak. I hope they won't bend.They are already installed and I hope they last as long as they should last.I do not recommend this for rough use, they are not reinforced.Update 4.10.22: I definitely need to remove these shocks because they don't work well on my truck. The vehicle feels too bouncey or extremely soft and that makes it "dance" up and down like you are damaged and they are not damaged just very weak for this 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ pickup.I really don't recommend these shocks for this truck. I will lower the rating to 2 stars for this detail. Not what I expected from the Monroe brand.

Easy to install and affordable

Better than what was on my Jeep but I am already replacing them, would have hoped for a little more life out of them. In the parts defense, I do feel my front springs are going bad too, may have added to the short life span of these shocks. Super easy install on my Grand Cherokee too, less than a half hour in the driveway.

i did not like the feeling, it is very bumpy. they are too soft for wj.

Does what they are supposed to do and for a good price

these shock absorbers will allow the front torsion bars to be cranked up thus still allowing suspension travel without hinderance
