XXXL Nylon Pouch for Samsung Galaxy Note II 2 will FIT w/ Otterbox Commuter on Super Large Horizontal (Black)

I've had this pouch for a couple of months now and it has withstanded the outdoor environment of my job in law enforcement.First the good..I like this pouch because it fits a Samsung note 3 with an i-blason dual layer shell. I work in a boat and I get into the brush a few times a day. It has lasted quite well and it seems I will get some good service out of it.Now the not so good...I had to reinforce the nylon edges where the clip is at and the clip is not positioned high enough so it bends a little outward but I have to say the reason is that it gets caught in the lower edge of a bullet proof vest and there is not much I can do about it.I would give it 5 stars if the clip was positioned a little higher so that it would not bend forward but I definitely recommend this phone pouch.

I purchased a BLU Studio 5 phone and could not find a case anywhere that would hold the overly large phone. I looked around at other phones the same size and discovered that the Note II was about the same size so purchased this case. The case is roomy enough for the phone and sturdy enough to protect it. It has a soft inner lining to protect the screen from scratches. The metal belt clip is sturdy and is holding up well to a day of manual labor. It uses a Velcro closure instead of magnetic so if it pulls open accidentally, you can hear it and stop it before you drop your phone. The stitching seems to be strong but I am concerned that it will hold up around the belt clip but we shall see.

When it says "XXXL" I expected a much bigger compartment. I was hoping it would fit my leather case that my "2" is in because it was "XXXL". The case with the phone it is in is 6 1/4 inches high. I could get it in but would need a hammer and chisel to get it out. I would characterize it as "XL" but not "XXXL". That being said if you don't have the leather case I have, and even if you have just the expanded battery cover it might work just fine. Also, there is no magnetic seal. It is a big and bushy velcro. I hate velcro. It takes much longer to pry open the velcro and get the phone out when it rings.. I am only giving it as high a rating as 3 because it might do well for others not similarly situated.. Come to think of it if the vendor had bothered to print the dimensions, I would not have bought it in the first place.

Like the case and the size, but the belt clip is not snug enough against the case itself. The lightest brush against something will pop the case off your belt. Other than that I would give it a 5 star.

The pouch does everything that it says it does, which would ordinarily give it a 5-star rating. The problem is that to put the phone with otterbox in and take it out, two hands are required and then you have to use quite a bit of force. To get to 5-stars, the pouch would have to widened and deepened a bit (not much, maybe a 1/4 inch each way).

Fits my Samsung Galaxy J7 with gel cover like a glove. Would strongly recommend.

Metal clip is soft and bound to break so I use the fabric loop. The loop itself is very tight so getting thick belts through requires some effort. Double stitching would make this way more durable. The pouch fits my new Samsung S4 using a Ballistic MAXX case perfectly.
