The product description is 100% accurate. It is an extremely strong magnet, and very sturdy. My Son wanted a fishing magnet to be able to toss out into the lake and try to “catch” some hooks...and any other fun items that would attach. This was a great purchase, and just what he wanted. The rope is quite long. I do suggest using caution with multiple kids around as the magnet is also quite heavy.

Larger magnet than expected
I like the metal eyes in the rope ends. The rope seems strong enough for the job. Be sure you rinse with fresh water and dry it after use in lakes or ponds. That will help with the smell from any algae and keep it from rotting. Also, keep rope in direct sunlight only long enough to dry it. UV rays will break down rope fibers over time.

Great quality great rope, excellent length and clamps
It seems the magnet does not actually have the strength with pressure to hold even a 100lbs, sweet handy rope and throwing kit,But magnet wise,... I was kinda dissatisfied for I cant even hook some simple 40lbs (on shore for a test) and drag it,I'm hoping I just have a faulty magnet but I currently dont have $ or time to re invest in a personal hobby, lol with 2 kidsBut deff will shop with this company alone due to quality

Better than advertised!
When we saw the size of the magnet, we were disappointed. Then we tried it. My husband picked up a cast iron 6 inch skillet with it, and I could not pull it off! We were so glad it came with the heavy paracord and clip, as it will likely pick up heavy items, when we get a chance to try it outdoors.

Great gift for nature loving family members
Got this for my mother to do some dirt fishing and she loves it. Not to heavy but has enough magnetic grab to bring up a discarded alternator in the pond next to her house haha.

Not Worth Your Money
Magnet is WEAK, nothing sticks to it. Definitely spend more for a set up that has a much stronger magnet.

Well made
At first I thought I got rooked, then I sat it down on my metal shop table. I couldn't pull it off, I finally had to slide it off the edge. Good stuff and very well made.
