Fancy Af Cocktails: Drink Recipes from a Couple of Professional Drinkers

Who would have known I would finally had time to sit down and be writing this review while scandoval is running rampant in the tabloids right now. No offense to anyone. I am neutral in how I feel about the situation, not that anyone asked. Have happily watched this show since the beginning when it first debuted, so I am an OG. I have loved cheering on this cast and crew from the get go, through the ups and downs, love watching the growth they all have made, very proud of you all. My heart goes out to you Ariana and the cast for their losses over the years. Hope Jax, Britney, Kristen, Stassi and Beau all come back at some point before show decides to end for an OG season and reunion, would be a great send off when that time comes.Anyhow back to the book. This is a great book to have, I recommend it and happy I have a copy. Wish it was signed though, maybe someday. :)

My son was turning 21 and asked for a bar kit for his birthday. I remembered Tom and Ariana had a book so I ordered it for him, but I didn't know what tools I would need to buy for his kit. Thankfully, Tom and Ariana had a list of what was needed in the "Look inside" section! The list included what they suggest too, so that was helpful. (They should sell their own bar kit!)I've read some books from reality personalities and have been disappointed in all of them. The last book I tried to read was "basic" something or other and so awful I couldn't get past the second chapter, so I did hesitate before I put Tom and Ariana's book in my cart. Then I thought about it, Sandoval doesn't seem to do anything half-way and I was right.The book is part instruction, part art, and full of fun! I love that they have a section that allows my son to use several ingredients and others that can be made by what we have at home. He's enjoyed making us different cocktails and I enjoy supporting Tom and Ariana's efforts. Congrats to them! I do have to say, I was disappointed the book wasn't featured more on Vanderpump Rules with a book signing or more exposure like Stassi received. Tom and Ariana's book was much better.

For fans of Vanderpump Rules, this cocktail book is so fun. But even people who haven't seen the show would be getting a fantastic set of recipes from this book. For years I've searched for a truly creative cocktail book. This one hits the mark between providing fun and easy recipes, and elevated/unique recipes that require unusual ingredients. The recipes are interspersed with anecdotes and notes from Tom and Ariana. The anecdotes feel very organic and not overly edited. I feel like their personalities come through in the notes. This does not seem ghost-written and the recipes sound like some of the recipes Tom was developing for his bar, so I believe the couple truly did develop the recipes and write the notes. As tongue-in-cheek as some of the names of cocktails are, every single recipe seems intentional and thought out (even the "trashy" ones). I particularly enjoyed the cocktails made with specific VPR cast members in mind. It's fun to read Tom and Ariana's thoughts on their friends/fellow cast and also to see how they represent the person with a drink. The photos are beautiful. Overall, the book is so impressive for one that could have been gimmicky. I'm inspired to learn the art of making a good cocktail.

I watched Vanderpump Rules and I really thought this book was fun, pretty well written and great pictures.

This book is Fancy AF!Ordered a bartender set and have been stocking up on the different ingredientsOnly complaint is it looks like the book may been stored in high humidity and the sides of the pages are wavy but not water damagedI order two one for a gift and it was the sameOtherwise I would give it 5 stars

LOVE LOVE LOVE the book. The vibrant colours of the book are beautiful. The recipes are a must have for any cocktail party connoisseur, but it also looks great as coffee table book decor!
