Good support
Good product. I never used it with the straps. Works well. Love the color. Been using it for 3 months and use it when I do Hip Thrusts, good enough cushioning on the hips and I lift heavy

Great help
I use this pad to do squats and hip thrusts. I am a woman with a small frame. My gym has barbell pads available to borrow, but I was still sore on my neck and hip bones when I borrowed those and I had a bruise at the top of my spine that never went away. I hoped that buying a pad of my own would help me. The price for what I received was very good. The bruise at the top of my spine has healed and I am no longer sore after my workouts. I have been using it now three times a week for several weeks and have been able to increase weight lifted and reps since purchasing this product. It has been tremendously helpful!

Good Pad - Lousy Straps
The pad itself is fine. It does the job well. After around 30 days 1 of the 2 velcro straps broke so I have to use the pad with only one strap. I tried hard to find the strap myself going to many different stores to try and find something that would work. But try as I might I can't find anything suitable to use with this pad that will work like the original pad. I chose a pad with removable straps because I move it around, it won't always be used on 1 bar and I am not only doing squats with my bars. But dependability is important and this didn't hold up. And since I am past 60 days I don't get product support so I am SOL. Consider another product if the straps would be an important feature You couldn't use without. Other than that the pad is ok.

Helps with squats
I didn't know what I was missing till I got this. I know some said it rolled around or moved on them, if you tighten the straps that come with it, I don't have an issue with it. It really helps with adding weight, since the bar isn't pressing into your shoulder/neck area. I use it at the house, did squats at the gym without it and I did not like it! Would recommend.

Perfect for those who suffer soreness from the bar resting on your neck as you lift heavier.
I've been lifting for a couple of years now, taking time of for various non lifting related injuries, and really enjoy it. I recently bought a rack and setup for myself and love having it right out in my garage. This addition was a great buy! Great quality merchandise, got here fast, and works great. I recently lost 104 lbs and any presure on my neck bones or back bones kills me...so this helps a lot in that aspect. Would buy again!

Does the job very well. Durable.
This item serves its purpose very well. Not too cumbersome to carry around in my gym bag, but thick enough to give my poor hip bones the protection they needed. I normally like black in everything, but the bright red color ensures that the gym will not mistake it for one of theirs. With weekly use, the item still looks and feels new, so the durability is not in question.

Fantastic!
Had been unable to perform barbell squats because of a painful nerve pinch under my left scapula when under load. With the pad, there is no issue at all, and I can handle much more weight without an issue. Fits my 28.5mm bar (and my back) perfectly.

We use this for bridging
... and it's just enough padding to save our hip bones without being too squishy and losing stability. With 225# (including the bar) it's just right. Still good with less weight, too. B But don't use if for your squat. Instead, learn proper bar position. Best resource I know for basic barbell instruction is Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe. Happy lifting!
