Great quality for the price.
Buy these over any other headphones under $40. Miles better than skullcandy or equivalents that you could pick up in any non-electronics store. While obviously not audiophile worthy, these sound damn great for sub-$30. Clear audio, no fuzziness or static. Can't speak for the microphone as I haven't tried it.Highly recommend for casual music listening as well as gaming. Would probably be great for TV and movies as well.My only nitpick is that the earcup covers are mesh. This doesn't bother most people (in fact it's a benefit to many, since they don't overheat as easily), but it is just a tad on the scratchy side. I'm pretty sensitive to that kind of stuff and even I got used to it in a few sessions, but it's worth mentioning.

I returned the Sennheiser HD 599's to keep these. Even if they cost the same, I would do it again.
Let me at least disclose that I bought the HS35 headset for like 10 dollars. I also got a good deal on the Sennheiser HD 599's recently. I had already been using the Corsair's for a couple weeks at that point. I was expecting to keep the HS35's as a backup set since it didn't make sense to really get rid of them to get 10 dollars back. I decided after one day of using the Sennheiser HD599's that I was definitely returning them. Here are the bullet points that made me really like the HS35's:-Huge pillows for cushions. The earcups are almost like an inch thick of super breathable very soft noise foam that has some kind of mesh layer to it. It isn't summer yet but I haven't had any sweat issues with these. Can easily wear them for 5 hours at time.-Excellent audio quality for my needs. Directional sound is this headset's strong suit. Everything else is just B+ but also they have a slight bass boost that to many, including myself, is preferable. I understand some people would rather have a completely unaltered sound. I think this simulates the actual bass I get when using my low-to-mid range desktop speakers. It makes voices sound more natural and music blend together the way a lot of people are used to hearing their music but just better.-Detachable microphone. Good thing because the mic quality is bad. You might be able to replace the mic entirely as it's a headphone jack but I haven't looked into it since I use a Blue Yeti on an arm. I did try it just to see and yep it's just not great. Par for the course.-Long cord. I do wish the 3.5mm headphone cord was detachable where it goes into the headset somehow just in case something happened down the road where I could easily replace it. But also I'm sure I could tear this down and do the work if I really wanted to. The cord itself has a semi-soft rubber/plastic feel that has enough rigidity where the jack doesn't bend itself (and the internal wires) under its own weight when sticking out the top of my computer. Also the cord goes into the left headphone so that might take some getting used to or some special routing.-Not a lot of noise cancellation. I kind of like this for this type of headset. I can hear important things happening in the house if I need to but the noise foam and solid plastic covering do dampen enough that outside noise doesn't ruin any listening experience. Would I have liked an option for ANC? Sure. But this headset does have a little physical volume wheel on it and I gotta say if I had to choose between which of those two little buttons I want on that real estate it would be the volume wheel. Now having BOTH? Don't be preposterous. That's pretty much it. Basically I'm using these as headphones at my computer and I like them for music and games. All I need it to do and it does it well.

They seem to be priced "fairly" compared to the current market for headsets
I like Corsair as a brand for their cases and memory products and this is the first item I've purchased from them outside of those categories. The sound tends toward enhancing midrange with only slightly tinny sounding highs. I was surprised that the bass response is decent. (for example in Dream Theater's "Pull Me Under" there is a very low bass note in the intro that these headphones pick up it's one of the first tests I put on speakers) but correspondingly the lower the frequency, the lower the volume in the mix. Acceptable at this price range. They feel very solidly builtI have a large head (hat size 8 1/4) with larger than normal ears that lay mostly flat against my head and these headphones are very comfortable for me.The overall volume is slightly louder than my previous set (which broke) of Logitech G430 and was pleasantly surprised that the Logitech USB DAC works when I plug this set of headphones into it (since these do not come with a DAC but rather a splitter to use the traditional mic/speaker jacks on your computer)I would recommend these to anyone on a budget looking for a headset.

Would Buy Again!
I LOVE this headset. I was recommended the Corsair brand by my boyfriend who games with me online. He originally recommended a more expensive pair, but after browsing all of the Corsair options, I settled with this pair and I am super happy! First off, the set as a physical examination is satisfying; they look clean and neat and they fit my head comfortably and perfectly. The noise cancellation is WONDERFUL. The ear pads are super soft and cover my ears completely without pressing on any sensitive parts of my ears and causing irritation. The mic is detachable (which I LOVE because sometime I want to lay in bed with a movie or music). The sound quality is MUCH better than my last [unknown] headset. I used to have my volume at full and still had room for more noise. With this headset, my ears are being comfortably blasted at only half volume. When playing my video game (World of Warcraft), I can always efficiently hear all the sounds of my game, along with the voices of my friends in Discord, at the same time I have music playing on Spotify. I would definitely recommend this headset to anyone for any audio need. It is much better quality than I assumed it would be, especially for the price. I am super happy!

Super comfortable, audio and mic quality good for price
These are inexpensive headphones which are great for the price. The material is plastic and doesn't feel super high quality. The padding is very thick and comfortable. The headphones can be worn for an entire day on calls and there is no ear discomfort. The microphone quality is adequate, but not exceptional. Perfect for calls but probably not recording audio for videos or podcasts. The design is sleek and not as bulky as other headsets with mics, which is nice. Overall, comfort is the best thing here. Audio quality and mic quality are suitable, but nothing crazy good.
