Chopped Salad-bowl w/Lamson Ulu Knife, Walnut Handle, 6.25 "
I’ve been making a large batch of Nutritarian Chopped Salad in this bowl 2x weekly for a couple of months. It’s a pretty bowl. The ulu knife does make cuts into the wood, as I expected it would. The ulu with the bowl chops a ton of greens into very small manageable pieces, it saves time (hours per weeks), decreases clean-up, decreases chewing time, and increases digestion of released micronutrients. The bowl and ulu knife together make eating healthily so much easier.

So good my mother in law stole it....
Perfect size, easy to clean and very versatile. My mother in law lives next door and was visiting one day while I was using the bowl. She admired it and stated it would make a perfect biscuit mixing bowl. (Southern women love mixing biscuits in wooden bowls just like their maw maws). Sure enough, when my mother in law left, she took the bowl with her.

Very pretty, great size/shape
I had a gorgeous dark red bowl, same shape, that I put fruit in for years. I loved it. But we have recently changed the colors of our decorating. I looked for quite a while the right size and shape in a neutral color. Took a chance with this wooden one, and it's the perfect proportion to put a bunch of fruit in. It will hold about 12-15 pieces. The wood of course is a warm color and looks great on my counter.

great bowl
I was hesitant to buy as the price seems a bit high. I don't mind paying a good price for good value, so I am very happy. I think this is an item that will really hold up to the amount of use it will get.

Love this bowl...
This is a very large wooden bowl. It's beautiful. Much larger than I expected. Can be used for so many meals. Great as a fruit bowl or salad bowl or serving dish.

Not happy that mine came with patched-up holes.
Got this as a birthday gift for my mom. Saw this bowl, and thought since it's Rachael Ray, it should be of very high quality. Upon giving it to my mom, she loved it... but, I noticed there are two wood-patches that filled holes from knots in the wood, on the inside of the bowl. This would be okay if the patches weren't really noticeable, but... They used rectangular pieces of wood to fill the round holes ... The remaining gaps were filled with wood-filler or sawdust or something, then slathered with super glue. I know it's super glue (cyanoacrylate) because I work with it all the time, and I'm very familiar with how it looks and feels. The person(s) who manufactured this bowl applied too much and it spilled outside the area of the patch. They didn't properly sand it flat afterwards, and there are even small holes in the wood-filler, so it's not perfectly filled. This can allow moisture into the woods interior, and allow mold or bacteria to grow inside. The bowl may eventually fall apart. This is very shoddy workmanship, and quite low a standard of quality for Rachael Ray to sell on Amazon. I don't think Rachel Ray would have approved of this herself. Now, I don't know how I feel about letting my mom eat her salads from this bowl, since the acids in salad dressings, will probably break down the super glue, and my mom would likely be ingesting small amounts of it...Since my mom didn't care too much about the patches, she still wants to use it, without returning it... so I am at a loss here, because I would have never given my mother something with such a terrible flaw. The pics on the Amazon page do not show two ugly patches inside the bowl... and it was not advertised as having patched-up holes either...I want my money back.EDIT: It might not be super-glue, because super glue is not USDA approved as food-safe. Most likely it's something that looks and feels similar. Either way, it's still crappy workmanship!

Fabulous Sturdy Fruit Bowl
This is a fabulous large fruit bowl. It is shallow and roomy to organize many fruits. The shape is just right. The bowl is sturdy and easy to rinse. The wood is a very attractive blend. I gave it as a Christmas gift and it was a hit.

Wide and shallow bowl
This bowl is pretty, well made, and perfect for a chopped salad or just storing a ton of fruit and veggies in. Super exited about this purchase.
