Only 100Mbps in AP mode - Be warned!
I bought this to use as an access point for my Gigabit home network. On arrival plugged in, powered up and did battle with a GUI that was utterly devoid of config options beyond the extremely basic. Then I noticed that it was only connected to the router at 100Mbps. Subsequent emails to the manufacturer confirmed that it the Ethernet port is only a 10/100 port. This means that although it’s radio can handle higher speeds for data transfer that very same data is then choked to 100Mbps the moment it goes through the Ethernet port to your LAN. As such, as an access point it is no better than an 802.3n unit at half the cost. For the sake of the few extra pennies it would’ve cost to include a Gigabit Ethernet port they’ve completely hobbled what could’ve been a reasonable product. I’m fairness, this shouldn’t affect it if you’re planning to use it as a WiFi extender. Product returned as not fit for advertised purpose.

Wifi Signal strength low outside? Get this....!
Brought this to sort out Wi-Fi coverage outside, it took around 2hours to fit, run cable, scale ladders, drill holes, terminate network cables, powered up the Poe injector, 30 seconds or so later unit was on and ready to go, broke out the provided guide, followed half a dozen steps on set up, and configuration of unit, and job done. It’s not an ugly bit of kit, I doesn’t look out of place, the thought put in to the connection is very clever, the securing cup snugs down nicely on the rubber grommet and seals around it and the cable very nicely, there is a nice o ring to seal to whole connection portion; again very clever design. The bracket was super easy to use, two screws and then 4 positive clips on base secure unit to base, then a couple of very chunky zip ties provide a secondary fixing of unit to bracket, I didn’t need to pole mount; so I can’t comment on that. The setup webpage is a breeze to use....just remember to change the login password!!!!It’s been out and working for an hour, and I’ve doubled the area of connectivity! I’ll run some speed tests tomorrow, just by looking at the signals icon on my iPhone I can see a definite increase.Only thing I wish it had would be the option to turn off the leds, but they really aren’t that bright but the option would be nice. That is the only bad point I have to make. It’s looking like it’s making a difference! My outside front Wi-Fi camera is already reporting an increase in signal and buffering less. Happy times

Twice the coverage than indicated
Found this recently and it's the perfect solution for our caravan site (East Balthangie). It covers at least 1,000 metres in a straight line without obstructions (twice the distance claimed by the manufacturer), so perfect for visitors and for when I'm listening to music whilst cutting the grass. Really easy to install- simple in fact. I used a length of white waste pipe, strapped it to the top, ran the cable inside the building, and three screws later on the gable end it's sitting looking smart above our World War 2 Pavillion, unobtrusive, but efficient. I'd recommend this over any similarly priced wifi extender. First-class.

Wi-fi repeater
This is an initial review due to the fact that I can’t actually set up the Wi-fi repeater. Despite me purchasing it in the UK the company sent out a US AC-adapter. I can’t use it but the company have promised to send out a replacement. Hopefully this will arrive quickly. I will provide an updated review soon

No benefit
Had high hopes for this unit. Spec looked good, built for the job too, but when it came to what really matters, this device was absolutely no improvement whatsoever over my bog standard router from EE. Not recommended, as least as far as the much exaggerated range claims go.

Poor signal strength
Across an open lawn,( no obstructions) after about 20-25 metres the signal dropped to essentially zero. Device mounted high on the wall of the house, with good connection to house router. Nice looking device, but I could not get it to provide the advertised performance in any of its 3 modes in 2.4 or 5G.Not worth the outlay and I have returned the product to Amazon.

Brilliant for my Ring doorbell
I bought this as I couldn't get my existing WiFi set up to work with my ring doorbell 2 Due to distances I struggle to get any Wi-Fi signal at my gate. This outdoor extender works perfectly, it covers my whole garden and has been subjected to a couple of bad storms and it's holding up well.

Good value
This is fantastic. The sigal strength is amazing, I've been getting an almost full signal strength on my phone, up the road in my neighbours garden a few doors down! I'm so glad I found this, I've no problem with signal anywhere now. Get one!
