Oh, that kind of rod sock - they work great!
After three kids, I got smart and invested in some good old fashioned rod socks. I thought it was a decent price for a novelty rod sock that was reusable. When they arrived, both the wife and I were excited to try out our new gear.I'm an average sized guy, but these things were HUGE! and the reservoir tip was a bit too long and hard for the wife's liking, even when scaled down to size. Then it dawned on me. These aren't THOSE rod socks, these are THOSE rod socks! Once I figured out their true purpose, I was delighted to have my fishing gear protected. They don't fit spinning rods, but they fit great on all of the 7'-ish rods that I have in my fishing arsenal.Unfortunately since these weren't the rod socks I thought they were, I may kid number 4 on the way. But hey! At least my fishing rods will be well covered and protected while I'm busy with the new baby!

Great product fir my needs
The multi color sleeves were just what I needed to keep rods separated in the cuddly cabin of my boat. My grandchildren use the equipment so they aren’t the bestest people with the fishing gear. These sleeves allow me to store the gear on the boat when we aren’t fishing so nobody gets a hook stuck in them by mistake. They’re easy to slip on and off and I have not had an issue with the hooks getting caught in the sleeve. I like the different colors for the kids to identify their favorite fishing pole or reel.

Sized for bait casting rods only
I have bought similar sleeves from other vendors in the past that were much better and sized properly for spinning rods. The diameter of these sleeves are fine for bait casting rods, but won’t fit over the larger spinning rod guides. Most of my rods are spinning, so I am returning these sleeves.

Best value for rod socks, great quality
These work well for my 7’ casting rods. The material seems thick and sturdy, and the tips are wrapped (so no rod tips poking through anytime soon). The diameter isn’t large enough for the large eye of a spinning rod though. Definitely a greater value compared to what you will pay for a single rod sock at stores like Bass Pro or even Walmart. Money well spent.

GREAT PRICE!! Great must-have for avid fishermena
I bought these for my dad's birthday. He loves to surf fish and has an hour commute to the beach, so needs his rods protected so they dont tangle. He was shocked to see ONE sleeve in a bait shop for $11! He was concerned I had paid that much and I told him "No sir, they weren't that much, I got a GREAT deal!" He said that made the gift even better! Definitely recommend!

work great on my rods
these are great rod protectors I am pleased with the way they work i keep 7 or 8 rods in my rod box and they are always tangled up but no more with these rod covers no more tangling great devices there is one caveat you have to have another device to secure lures with treble hooks or either remove them because they get tangled in the mesh I love these and recommend them

Work Nicely
I have not used these kinds of rod cover before but I found these to work well so far. Some of the reviews say they do not fit spinning robs. That is probably true if you are trying to use them for Salt Water rods. I have them over a few freshwater spinning rods and they fit just fine.

NOT spinning rod compatible
I bought these because the description and other reviews claim they fit both spin and cast rods. This was not true for me. Most of my spinning rods are 6' 6" freshwater bass fishing rods. Of the four spinning rods I tried , I could only get it to fit on a 5' 1" med light panfish rod. All my casting rods fit fine, of course. Probably going to return.
