NOT VEGAN, Confusing Labeling
I've bought a few other products from AARJA that were Vegan and was under the impression this was too as the label simply makes it look like it has Pine Bark extract and no animal ingredients (not clearly shown)Upon purchase, I saw that the capsules themselves were made of bovine gelatin so investigated on "BioCell Collagen" only to see -What is BioCell Collagen made from?Answer:BioCell Collagen is made from pure dietary chicken sternal cartilage that is free from hormones and antibiotics. Chicken sternal cartilage closely mirrors the composition of human cartilage rich in type II collagen, chondroitin sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. Cartilage is a clean and desirable source since it's free from blood vessels, lymphatics, and nerves that are known to carry impurities. Therefore extracting exclusively from cartilage eliminates the risk of potential contamination. We use a patented manufacturing procedure that subjects the chicken sternal cartilage through various processes, including filtration, purification, concentration, hydrolysis, and sterilization to ensure consistent quality and safety. The majority of collagen ingredients in the market are derived from the entire carcasses of animals (e.g., cow, pig, and marine). These materials are usually more than 90% protein and labeled as Collagen Peptides, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Collagen Hydrolysate, Collagen Type I & III, or Gelatin (also a form of hydrolyzed collagen). The branded dietary ingredient BioCell Collagen® is a hydrolyzed chicken sternal cartilage extract composed of naturally-occurring hydrolyzed collagen type II peptides, chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid. BioCell Collagen is self-affirmed GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe), is non-GMO and free of gluten, soy, shellfish, fish, egg, milk, peanuts, and sugar. BioCell Collagen is only made in the USA and Germany.

Take 2 per day
Good product but I was not aware it was 2 tablets per day so only lasts 1 month. I usually use a collagen powder on my Keto diet so try many brands not sure I like the tablet as much as the powder in my coffee

Higly recommend this
Highly recommend this! The best collagen type for joints. If you haven’t tried, I can recommend this one. I really like the way they are combining this pine bark with it, and I’ve heard that pine bark may help with skin problems as well. And sealed bottles plus produced in Finland, so I can be sure that the product is authentic.

Good quality ingredients. Two capsules a day dosage.
These are fairly large capsules but are easy to swallow with a good gulp of water and have no after taste at all.I've not noticed any difference to my skin, hair or ease of joint movements but I suspect these changes wi be subtle at first and probably noticeable by others if they've not seen you for a while.I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia so I wasn't expecting to notice any difference in my ability to move easier or with less pain. Any positive changes in this department would probably require a couple of months of taking these capsules. I can live in hope that they'll help stop osteoarthritis getting worse and may slow down my skin ageing process.Taking supplements can be hit and miss and what works for one may not work for another, especially if like me you have conditions that affect mobility, joints and the immune system. I definitely think they're worth trying if you've just been diagnosed with any condition like I have so that you can help slow down inflammation and bone weakness. These are good quality capsules, a little expensive but if they work for you then it's a small price to pay.

BENEFITS OF COLLAGEN:1. Can improve skin health. Collagen is a major component of your skin.It plays a role in strengthening skin, plus may benefit elasticity and hydration. As you age, your body produces less collagen, leading to dry skin and the formation of wrinkles.2. Helps relieve joint pain. Taking collagen supplements has been shown to reduce inflammation and stimulate collagen synthesis in the body. This may help promote pain relief among people with joint disorders like osteoarthritis.3. Could prevent bone loss. Consuming collagen supplements may help reduce the risk of bone disorders like osteoporosis. They have the potential to help increase BMD and lower levels of proteins in the blood that stimulate bone breakdown.4. Could boost muscle mass. Research has shown that consuming collagen supplements increased muscle growth and strength in people with age-related muscle mass loss.5. Promotes heart health. Taking collagen supplements may help reduce the risk factors associated with heart conditions such as atherosclerosis.6. Other health benefits. Collagen supplements have been claimed to promote brain, heart, and gut health, as well as help control weight and keep hair and nails healthy.Collagen supplements may lead to side effects, such as a bad taste in the mouth, heartburn, and fullnessIf you're not sure if this supplement is right for you, do your research properly or consult a professional nutritionist/dietitian or ask your GP or pharmacist if unsure. Thanks for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful
