Royal Brush RSET-ACR3000 Royal and Langnickel Acrylic Painting Artist Set for Beginners

The art set itself was a bit smaller than I expected, but you get a lot of items for your money. The two "canvases" that you get are basically small notebook sized thin canvases, but I think they're perfect for when you're first starting out in painting with acrylics. I was pleasantly surprised with the color payoff of all of the colors. I thought the paint wasn't going to be that high quality, but they're actually pretty pigmented; I have no complaints about the colors! The brushes are the only thing I that I had a problem with. They seem soft and high quality at first, but the second I dipped it into paint and brushed it across the page, several bristles came off and streaked across my paper. It was quite annoying, and as I tried to pull out the few bristles that were loose, the entire metal part of the brush detached from the wooden handle.....although this set is a steal for its price, I did expect a tad better quality for the brushes. All in all, I think this is a great beginners set for kids and grown ups alike; it's a wonderful way to start understanding the way acrylic paint works.

This product is a great acrylic painting set for someone who has never painted before. It comes with a small booklet that describes various painting techniques that were very easy for me to follow successfully. The tubes of paint have more than enough colors for any beginner to paint with or mix any color that they would need. Additionally, the palette they provide is relatively large, provides reasonable space to keep and mix colors and cleans up very easily. The set also comes with two small canvas boards on which you can paint your first two pictures. Even though I would have liked to have had more than two small boards, I still give it five stars because they make it very clear this is a beginner setI would definitely recommend this product anyone looking to start painting, though I would not suggest this for children under 10 years of age as acrylic paint, once dried on a surface, is permanent. ***If it is still wet you can clean it up with a damp cloth.

I usually use the acrylic paints that are sold in the bottles but I wanted to try this out. The set is very nice but doesn't come with the palette knife. Also, some of the paints were really dry and that is why this didn't get five stars. All in all though, I really like this set and I especially love the pencil and eraser that comes with it. I've found that with other pencils and erasers, there is evidence of erasing on the painted item. Not so with this. Also, the wooden case is very nice and the price was great. I do like this but I think I prefer the other acrylic style paints. Time will tell more though since I'm just learning more about this particular acrylic type. I recommend this for a beginner and advanced painter as well.

Bought this for my niece who was interested in learning to paint. Acrylic are a good choice for kids since they dry quicky and wash up with water. The set Has a nice set of brushes for small canvas work but larger ones would be necessary if painting on larger canvases. The basic colors are in the kit but even with knowledge of color mixing the shades you can get are limited. Additional tubes of varying shades would be helpful as well as larger tubes of black and white since they get used up more quickly. Beginners who have little knowledge would benefit from a color wheel to show how to mix and achieve other shades.

Excellent for my needs. Plenty of paints, but really needs extra whites, since these colors are so dark and dry darker than when painted on. I had to go buy a large white acrylic in order to lighten these. The number and types of brushes, as well as the inclusion of a pencil, eraser, sharpener, mixing tray, and mixing knife makes for an excellent starter for aspiring artists. It even includes a couple of small canvases. Highly recommended.

It's actually a really great starter kit! It was well built, although I am a bit irritated that I cannot use the case without the inserts. They are glued in so strong that the plastic inserts won't come out..=( But other than that, it is a really good starter kit. The brushes are study and durable, there are some great paint color choices and I love the easel! There are a couple little canvases that are fun to start on. This would be a great holiday gift if you are looking for an idea!

Embarrassed because it was a birthday gift. The box was damaged and scratched up. When the box was opened the insert that the paint is cradled in fell down. I guess there wasn't enough adhesive to hold it up. I've had my brush and paint set for years and it's still together. Again embarrassed!!!

I haven't used this yet but seems like a nice set to get started with. I didn't give 5 stars only because the wooden box came with a dent/scratch near the handle even though it was wrapped in plastic. It's fine for me but if I had been giving as a gift I would have been disappointed.

Brilliant starter kit.The quality is very good and the amount of tools / equipment is great for the price.It's nice and compact and the addition of tools and canvas etc gives some nice ideas.The box it comes in in also very nice and helps keep it all tidy.

Nice brushes but dry paint and poor quality

Great product to start. Not giving it 5 stars because I think one of the colours is wrong ( or very bad ) it was supposed to be purple and it's more a deep blue. But other than that I found it very nice!

I'm an absolute beginner in terms of painting. I decided to purchase this set to practice and experiment with different materials for my Art GCSE coursework, and who knew, I genuinely love painting now. I'm not a professional, but for me, the quality of the paint is PHENOMENAL I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT. There are variety of brushes to select from and a mixing palette along with a mixing stick, also comes with 2 pieces of A6 canvas (I think its roughly that size) rubber, pencil and a booklet. The box is a MAJOR bonus because it looks so sleek and nice, and it's able to keep everything tidy and organised.

It's a perfect kit for beginners and great value for money. Has everything you would need for your first painting including the canvas even if they are small.
