Wood Thumb Recycled Wood Skinny Tie (Brown)

I love everything about this tie. It is made from reclaimed wood in San Francisco and as such, every tie made should be unique due to the individual wood patterns. Mine for example has a pinstripe like pattern with some curves, and three small knots near the top. It's a very simple design and I'm honestly a little surprised I haven't seen these before. The tie is separated into segments so it can flex, and has elastic bands running through the entire tie to hold it together and secure it to your neck. My one and only complaint is that I noticed a slight crack on the corner of a segment, however this was easily fixed with wood glue and now you can't tell there was ever anything wrong with it. I would highly recommend this tie and do fully intend on buying more. This company also makes wood bowties if that is more to your liking.

My husband and I bought this tie for him to wear on our wedding day, and he received so many compliments on it. It's a very fun, attractive piece! We definitely recommend it to anyone looking to add a conversation piece to their wardrobe.You can easily adjust the tightness around the neck of this tie, but keep in mind that the length cannot be changed without changing the overall aesthetic of it (i.e. taking out one or more of the links). If you have a shorter torso, this tie may not work as well for you. I'd give it a shot just in case because it's so stinkin' cool, but just keep that in mind. Also, the stretchy cord was mildly visible at the collar of the shirt, but that could be because of the style of collar (cutaway) on my husband's shirt. It was barely noticeable though, and didn't detract from the look. We haven't tried this tie with any of his other shirts, but I suspect a different collar would fix that.

Easily one of the best ties you can buy, well worth the price.
