Great harmonica for 6 and 8 year olds
I bought this for my 6 year old son's stocking last Christmas. I thought it would be something different that he wouldn't expect, and boy was I right! It ended up being his favorite item and he plays it all the time! He carries it in his pocket and whips it out on a whim. I couldn't believe how much joy this little harmonica brought to him. My 8 year old daughter loved it so much we ended up having to buy her one too! It sounds absolutely beautiful, even if it's just children blowing into it. It has a beautiful, harmonious sound. I read several reviews on several brands and I am so happy I picked this one.

Great for learning....
I intentionally purchased the Chicago Blues Harp in the key of C because of it's low price. I wanted to make sure that I would enjoy learning to play the harp and would stick with the instrument before spending better money. I have now had the Chicago Blues Harp for 3-weeks. I found a great lesson program online by JP Allen (I would suggest looking him up on YouTube if you are serious about learning to play) and I have been practicing nearly every day with this inexpensive little harp. So far it has held up quite well. A few of the notes have gone slightly out of tune from heavy note bending practice and occasional over-blowing, but from what I have learned this is to be expected. All in all I would say that this is a great little harp to learn on. I've been using it almost daily for 3-weeks and have been carrying it with me everywhere I go (I even have it in my pocket right now as I type this). Now that I am determined to continue my education in the art of the harmonica, I am considering a more expensive instrument, but I'm very pleased that the Chicago Blues Harp was my first harmonica. Over the last 3-weeks I have learned more than I could have imagined on this great little harp.

A Good Value
The Chicago Blues Hamonica KHCB-C produced by Kay Guitar Company is a good value. Every note worked well on the instrument that I received. Yes, this is a first-level instrument, but it does have a visual appeal with the clear comb and does play well for what the cost reflects. It does take a bit more air than advanced instruments, but it does bend for all you can give it. A seasoned player would have fun with this one. I wish that there would be a full range of keys available, but overall I think that Kay Guitar Company knows what players this instrument is marked for. A good value to put in the collection. (note: a China import)

Ok for a starter, but highly disposable
I can't say this is a terrible product, because it cost me about $3. What I can say is that you get what you pay for. As a motivated beginner, I spent just a few blissful days practicing on this harp. I could tell right away that several of the holes were tuned a little off, but I didn't think much of it because I was just looking for something cheap to learn on. But just as I was getting the basics down, more holes started giving out on the draw notes. If you're looking for just a really cheap harp that will help you decide whether or not you're interested in learning more, go ahead and get this harmonica. Don't spend more than a few dollars, because this one will probably not last more than a couple of days.

Out of tune and out of breath
Got this harmonica when it was on sale. Honestly, i don't know if i got a lemon but the harmonica was all out of tuned, The tuning was apparent when playing octaves and did not sound good. Additionally, it required more air than my other cheap harmonicas. The only good thing going for it was that it came with a plastic case, i thought that was a nice addition. I wouldn't recommend this harmonica due to the tuning.

This product is a wonderful harmonica. When it arrived, it came in a small envelope with bubble wrap. Inside, there was the tiny box; nothing fancy, no plastic casing or fancy case for it. This is to be expected for a product with a price tag as low as this one.Let me make this clear, if you're looking for a harmonica to play around with or learn how to play, this is for you. However if you're looking for a professional grade harmonica... Look elsewhere.Things to note:This harmonica is made mostly of nickel, so it tastes bad after a while. If you don't clean off the mouth piece, you'll see dried saliva built up. (Easy to wipe off, but not pretty.)I was pleased with this product. You should be, too.

Nice airtight holes!
This harmonica is the best in it's price range. I have purchased a handful of harmonicas from amazon that were around this price and this one out preformed them all. There is very little loss of air with this harp. All holes are in tune. Brass reeds with aluminum casing. *Might not be beard/mustache friendly. I dont know for I have niether, but just looks that way.
