This product is absolute garbage. I fully understood that this was for looks and not functional at all but what I did not expect was for this product to snap off inside my bumper from simply tightening it with a wrench. Now I have to remove my entire bumper and hope that I can figure out a way to fully remove this piece of trash from my car. Do not buy this product.

Purchased one of these for my 2017 Outback more for the esthetic look rather than for functional use. And I’m glad that was the mindset behind the purchase. Install wasn’t horrible, I think that depends more on the vehicle itself and depth of the thread receptacle rather than the item itself. Threads were all clean, no barbs or cross thread. To say it’s “lightweight” is severely underplaying it. Sadly I went to remove the item about two weeks after purchasing and it snapped in my bumper. Threads were greased and reinspected once I got it out with no cross thread noticed. If you’re looking to just have “that look” then this is fine. But if you ever really need it… you’re gonna be SOL. Buy a factory one for your vehicle and put a shackle on it instead. Might be a little more money, but it’ll have both the look and functionality needed.

Can't use the product. I searched for one that fit my Outback, this product came up on the search and I excitedly ordered it. Unfortunately I waited a few weeks to attempt to install and find out it does not fit, so it is useless to me. Obviously this was not their fault but I am stuck with an item that is now a paper weight.

Looks good haven’t tried to tow someone out with it yet.
