I've been using this rope for magnet fishing for a year now and it is still going strong. I love the oval connection at the end. It makes it so easy to switch out magnets quickly. The only thing I would change is the carabiner, I wish they used one that was a non-ferrous material. I also wish that they had more color options.

I bought this to rappel down my 55ft “cliff” in my backyard. I wrapped it around a tree at the top of the cliff and clipped the carabiner to the rope to secure it. This rope was able to hold the weight of my 225lb husband and myself while scaling down our steep hillside. However, it is about as thin as my pinky finger and a rope so thin cuts into your hand when you hold on for a while. I had a few small blisters after using it the first time. The second time I wised up and wore a pair of gloves. The good thing about it being thin is that it’s easy to store. I’m not a fan of this bright orange color but on the bright side I’ll be able to see it if I am using it at night time.

This rope seems really durable and worked very well for magnet fishing. The thickness is nice to get a grip on for heavier items your pulling out. I pulled a bike out of a river easily. After a few uses it still looks brand new other than some dirt on it. No frays or problems and I'm nor expecting any for awhile.

UPDATE!!! OK WE DECIDED TO TRY PULLING AN ANTIQUE CAST IRON TUB, BURIED IN THE GROUND UP TO THE RIM AND FULL OF DIRT, OUT OF ITS HOLE BY TYING THIS ROPE AROUND IT AND HOOKING IT TO OUR F350 WITH A FISHING KNOT, IT DIDNT EVEN FLINCH, THIS ROPE IS PHENOMENAL!!! BUY IT CUZ IT WILL HANDLE WHATEVER YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE IT DO WITH EASE!!! WE'RE BUYING TWO MORE, NOT CUZ WE NEED THEM BUT CUZ ROPES LIKE THIS ARE ALWAYS GOOD TO HAVE.Great rope, very high quality, strong and would highly recommend!!!

I work outside so I am always trying to get into tight places and pick tools and other things that have been dropped. I have even thrown this rope into water plenty of times and it holds up very well. I purchased a few magnets to put on the line for those pick ups and the durability of the rope is great. The line is very long so you have plenty of height to pick up those tools you dropped way down below. I recommend this buy.

A little thinner than I thought it would be, but very good for the price.... wish it had a handle or another eyelet
