Zvezda8025 - Samurai Warriors - Cavalry - Plastic Model Soldiers Kit Scale 1/72 1" 17 Soldiers

Just received this set of Cavalry figures as part of a large order I made to get 'reinforcements' for the great 'Samurai Battles' boardgame put out by Zvezda and Richard Borg (Commands & Colors) which allows you to play this era using two different sets of rules. These figures are the same scale and wonderful detail as the Zvezda figures in that game, although made of a slightly softer plastic than the hard styrene in the game itself. The reinforcement packs for that game are pretty pricy, as they give you roughly 4 infantry/2 cavalry in the styrene for about $5. The softer figures in these army packs are 44 Infantry or 17 cavalry for about $10, a much better value if you're trying to really increase the numbers in your game. The slightly softer plastic might be a bit harder to paint, but will stand up to repeated gameplay a bit better in that the thin swords, spears and such will bend rather than break. These packs don't include the multiple figure bases that you need to play the 'Art of Tactics' rules, but will be of no concern if using the C&C rules.

Really awesome kit! The figures are very detailed. The small size is gonna be hard to paint with but I'm up for the challenge!!

Unlike other zvezda cavalry kits I have purchased, this kit does not use a peg system to attach the men to the horses. This makes them easier to glue to the horses and gives you more options for soldier variety (not obligated to put a certain soldier on a certain horse). There are also three weapon choices for two of the poses.

as someone who has experienced Games Workshop and Perry Miniatures, while this has little to no ability to customize the minis are wonderful, the detail is fantastic and the plastic decently durable

Toll. Eine gute Qualität, schöne Verarbeitung und trotzdem in der unteren Preisklasse. Tolles Set für Samurai, kann ich seelenruhig empfehlen. Die Pferde rauben jedoch den Platz und Geldbetrag für andere Soldaten. Wenn man das sucht, dann ist das Samurai Warriors Set von Zvezda gut!
